In our brand new home on 9-13-2003, we paid AMCO Glass Tinting $1,030.29 to install Solar Gard's HP Quantum Series tint film on all windows. This included a Limited Lifetime Warranty. In 2022 we replaced window coverings and notice the product has deteriorated; it has bubbling and ripples in the tint and the view out of the windows is muted. After several phone calls to *********************, owner of AMCO I finally had a return call and on 5-10-22 I provided **** with copies of the necessary documents for my warranty claim. **** visited our home on 7/1/22, acknowledged our Warranty and that the film needed replacement; he measured all windows for replacement and said he would get back to us the following week. After no communication I contracted **** and on 7/12 he said he would call me that afternoon. No communication. **** eventually told me he contacted Solar Gard and because he is winding down his company has no employees to do the installation and that they were trying to find an installer. I asked for the phone contact for the Solar Gard Rep so I could coordinate and never received it. I continued to contact **** by phone as recent as 9/1, email (7/22, 8/24 & 96) and text (7/19, 8/25, & 8/29). Finally on 8/29 he said he would call me in the afternoon. No communication again. After sending another email to **** on 9/6, I received a text on 9/7 explaining he has been caring for an ill Mother and communicated that **** is closing AMCO and is still working with the Solar Gard Rep named **** to find an installer to replace the tint. Again, I asked for the Solar **************** contact and again received no reply. My concern is that over 4 months have passed and with the lack of communication and **** closing the business that my warranty will not be honored. I did submit an email to SolarGard on their company website on 9/6/22, hoping their local representative might contact me. As of 9/8, no reply.Please contact me for additional information.
