This collection agency is adding absurd fines to invoices. I went to pay a bill online and it showed I owed over $600, however, my paper bill that was sent to me stated I owed $287. This is just 3 months after I received the invoice. On the paper invoice it stated they would charge 9% interest per annum. 287 to 600 is more than 9% and in less than 3 months! I emailed their customer service email listed on website and they refused to explain where the extra $400 came from-saying I had to call the office to discuss. I explained that I am just trying to make a payment, and I am at work, so I need to use email. ********************* is the legal department manager and told me "we don't use email as a form of communication" I requested she explain how my bill went from $287 to over $600, and I was told that the legal fees are listed on summons and complaint. I have not received a summons or complaint and told her that. And, I can't imagine how after 3 months of being in collections why I would receive a summons or complaint. This seems extremely excessive and completely unreasonable for this medical bill, that has literally only been in there office for 3 months. I told her I was just trying to make a payment on the bill that I owe, and the online amount does not match the paper bill.
