Awful experience! Booked the cabin, flew up from Arkanasas, arrived about 6:30 pm the night of our reservation. Checked in and asked if there was a designated smoking area or should we just go to the end of the road off the property since the cabin was non smoking? She said her husband wasn't going to like the fact that we smoked. I told her it wasn't a problem, that we didn't smoke in our home or cars and that we wouldn't smoke on their property. We are very clean people. We then went shopping for food and got take out since it was so late. When we arrived back at the cabin her husband showed up about 15 min later and talked to us a good while about his earlier fishing trip and then proceeded to ask us to leave. He knew the whole time he was talking that he was going to kick us out! I said we haven't smoked one cigarette on your property and didn't intend to. He said he hated being the bad guy but his ad said non smoking. I told him that as a former teacher he should know there's a difference between non smoking rooms and no smokers at all allowed and that he should change his site and be more specific. He has no right to tell anyone what to do off his property. He said feel free to eat our, now cold, dinner before leaving. At 9:30 at night! Everything was booked due to something going on at the speed way and 4th of July weekend. We drove all over and finally found a hotel in a nearby town for almost double. We got to our new room at 12:30 am! Microwaved our dinner and most of our groceries we bought were useless in a hotel room. DO NOT STAY HERE! THESE PEOPLE ARE STRANGE TO SAY THE LEAST.
