I called car safari LLC and spoke with the owner ***** to inquire about a vehicle they had for sale. During the call ***** made multiple gross misstatements of fact regarding the car. I specifically asked if there was any frame rust, he said no. And I asked if the vehicle was checked out, he replied that it would not be up for sale if his mechanics had not previously cleared it. I told him I was driving two hours to see the car, he made it sound like someone was buying it and I needed to put down a deposit for him to hold it. He lied about the reasons for the salvage title, saying some wholesalers are just putting salvage titles on cars, making it sound like there was no real reason for the salvage title. He told multiple lies to secure my deposit, then refused to refund it, even though the deposit agreement became null and void before it ever even came into play due to the outright misstatements of material facts regarding the vehicle. The vehicle as of today was still up for sale, even though it is completely unsafe for the road.

My fiancé and I recently bought a vehicle from this used car dealership for $700.00 cash. We were told that the vehicle had a rebuilt title which is stated on the paperwork that we signed. After signing all of the paperwork the salesman put the packet into an envelope and said "the title is in there along with your bill of sale", handed us the keys and we were on our way. Upon getting home with it and driving it for a few days we realized that the odometer isn't working and we were sold the vehicle with the miles it reads. But who knows how long that hasn't been working properly so it could have way more miles than was specified in the sale. In addition, the paperwork we signed shows that we only paid $600.00 when in truth we paid $700.00. And finally, we were sold the vehicle being told both verbally and in writing on the paperwork that the vehicle had a "Rebuilt title" when in truth it actually has a "Salvaged title". Due to the title being Salvaged we cannot register it or insure it, let alone drive it on the road legally. I wanted to return the vehicle because it was sold to us fraudulently and get my $700.00 cash back. Plus the amount I paid to put a new battery in it. After speaking with David, the owner of Car Safari he claimed that he "Didn't care that I was threatening to sue over his illegal actions because "He knows how the process works and has done this tons of times before". He also claimed that the a "Salvaged title and a rebuilt title are the same thing" when in fact they are not. And that "The title will become a rebuilt title once it has gone through the DMV". This is also not true because the vehicle has to pass inspection from a certified mechanic to deem it road worthy before the title can be upgraded from Salvaged to Rebuilt. Shortly after speaking with him on the phone he then txted me multiple times berating me and mocking me by saying things like "Please leave us a 1 star review on google. While you're at it have 20 of your friends leave reviews as well. Don't forget the Department of Justice, the Better Buisness Breau, and oh the FBI since we scammed you". I don't take well to your uneducated attack. Bring it on! I'm ready for a court battle because I'd rather lose $5,000 in court than refund a $700 car". This guy has been scamming people for years and deserves to have his business shut down and face legal action. I spoke with an attorney discussing this issue and he stated that I have a pretty straightforward case should I plan to proceed.

Yes- I did say all that in text..and I will keep saying if you want to be threatening instead of conversating I will keep say the same thing. You also called us being very rude from the get go with immediate threats. You forgot to mention that in this message.. If we where scamming people for years dont you think DMV would have taken our business away already?? Vehicles do not have to pass and inspection through certified mechanics to deem if they are roadworthy for a title to be switched from salvage to reconstructed, I dont know who is feeding you that false information, We have been in the reconstructed business for a long time we do the process correctly . They need a simple vin inspection at the DMV that costs $7 by the person registering the vehicle, **which has already been done and we have here ( I just checked the file) if this is the a white contour that sold recently ( you have not told me which car it is when you called or texted so i am just guessing since its a recent cheap car that sold nd your name is not in our system) Miles- We are required by law to disclose the miles on the dash, and that we did do.. Apparently neither you or us noticed they where not working the $600 - $700 mistake could have been a key slip since they are next to each other on the keyboard ive not asked the sales guy yet what it sold for because at this point im guessing which car it is You never asked for your money back before your attack on me and the business upon me answer the phone you set right into me with your verbal attack and all the things you are going to do to harm us, which i am ok with because like i said on the phone and in this message we have processed 100s of cars the same way yours is. You are more than welcome to unblock me and call me or text and come to the lot and get your Vin inspection and 6511 form so you can register the car to reconstructed.. or you can pay us the money to do it and we can give you a 90 day temp either way title will come back reconstructed or you can pursue a case with an attorney thats all up to you. if you believe you have a straightforward case feel free to go that route.. please read over your arbitration agreement as well You know how to get ahold of us if you would like to call and talk more calmly and we can get you the vin inspection and 6511 form to register it reconstructed If not maybe we will see each other in court
