My name is ****** *******. My husband/I rented the event space at The Breakers/Fort Walton Beach on July 21, 2023, to celebrate our wedding day. On this day I did an informal “walk-through” with one of the front desk staff. She and I literally stood in one place to take a look around the room (without a checklist) and from what the eye could see standing in one place, all appeared to be intact. She/maintenance assisted with connecting the blue tooth, and that was the extent of our time spent together in the reception hall. She asked me to sign a single page for the informal walk through, indicating that any minor scratches would not be a concern. At this time, we are currently be accused of damages to a stove top that was never assessed by myself nor their staff and my $1,000 deposit is being held. We have many witnesses to support my statement, including the 2 coordinators (Forever I Do Weddings Sugar Beach Weddings) which are your preferred vendors to vouch that this was not any damaged caused by the ******* Family. Per our conversation yesterday, (7/22/23) we reported damage to our event room stove top. I have attached the pictures, please see above. There was a walk-through completed upon arrival, which no such damage was reported during that time. Due to no previous report of damage prior to the event, we will not be refunding the security deposit of $1,000, as Forever I Do Weddings, is the liable party.
