    I had surgery at Mexico Bariatric Center on July 18, 2024. There were so minor issues with surgery and I wasn't able to have gastric bypass so I had gastric sleeve. I am waiting for a refund of $900.00 for that which is not an issue at this time. I had no problems with the scheduling, coordinating, the hotel, or getting from the airport to the hotel and to the hospital. Those drivers had a medical pass and didn't have to sit in the long lines and said the drivers that would be taking us back after surgery had a medical pass also. I had a great surgeon and the nurses treated me great and took great care of me. My issue was once I was released from the hospital. I was released a day early and had to have my friend that was with me to change hotels and we were put in a hotel that I didn't like but It was ok bc it was only 1 night. The following day, Sunday, we were told to schedule our flight for after 2 pm. I scheduled ours for 3:25 pm. The van that I was in was myself, my friend that went with me and 4 other people, on the van that was leaving at the same time we were, there were 9 people. The first question I ask when I got in the van was how long will it take to get across the border. I was told an hour and a half. It was over 6 hours and all of us missed our flights. They blamed it on some world wide web issue but it was because the drivers didn't have a medical card as we were told. I was out another $650 on airline tickets to have the flight changed, and an additional $500+ on a motel room for 2 nights in San Diego, along with uber fees. Phil has made it his personal issue to make sure that I don't get the money reimbursed and had me removed from social media so I would not tell others about the issues we had and that MBC refused to reimburse us even after lying and saying they had medical cards. I was out an additional $1000, Phil works with the reimbursement. I think he gets a bonus when he gets out out of refunding money that he should have paid.

    Thank you for your review. I will tell you the same thing that I advised you of in July. That I was working on your refund for $900. I advised you at that time that you would get your refund according to our policies and procedures. I tried to work with you on additional requests but instead of working with me you continued to resort to threats on social media. Your refund will be processed according to our policies and procedures. Please either respond here or respond to my last email and we will go from there.

    I think there was much more than that said. You didn't like my response and point blank said that is why you were not trying to get the refund for the additional money that I had to spend due to the company not having steps in place to get us back at a certain time. It seems that removing people from the social media groups is routine for MBC if you read the other reviews. I can also go thru emails and text that say the clients will have access to those groups for support so really you have taken away a part of my recovery and resource tools bc you did not like the fact that I said I would post that we all were late and missed our flight as well as were out money for the room. I haven't posted anything since our last email but considering that you are still refusing to make things right, I will do what I feel I need to do. MBC is the only company that won't let other clients on their social media . I was told as long as what I post is true that I am within my rights to share what happened and everything I have said has been true. Sadly, I really didn't try to say very much about the issue on the MBC social media but you still made sure that one of my surgery resources were taken away. Can you please tell me again how you tried to work with me on additional request? As I remember I was basically told no that I would not get a refund for the additional $600 I had to spend for airfare due to missing the flight bc your drivers did not have a medical card to pass the border line as we were told and also an additional $500+ for a motel room in ********* to stay until our flight left. There were at least ***** that missed our flight and the company you work with thinks it is ok. I am waiting the amount of time you said the refund for the surgery would take that way I know if I will need to include that in my next step. I refuse to let a company as large as MBC take advantage and act like it was not their responsibility to get us to the airport on time. It was their responsibility to make sure the drivers were responsible enough to get us there on time. This happens a lot more than MBC wants to admit. I have spoken to several people since then and it happens frequently. I'm sorry that you feel like it should be Swept under the rug but I refuse to let it go wo at least attempting to take it a step further.

    Thank you for your response. I advised then and will repeat what I advised when we started speaking about this, " dont create threats and I will do what I can to help you." I advised you of this multiple times and you ignored me. You made an attempt and I tried to work with you in good faith. You then decided to disregard what I advised you on. I dont know how that is sweeping it under the rug. Please check your disclsoures. We do not provide for missed flights. That day was a big challenge and I tried to work with you in good faith. I am sorry if you feel that way, but I did advise multiple times that if you do not stop that I would not be able to try and help you with this. You decided to continue.

     

    I will say agin. I am more than happy to continue the conversation either here or through email with you, but I have told you the same thing over and over again. I am not sure what else to say on that matter.

     

    We try our best to take care of our patients in the best way possible. You did buy medical transportation insurance. You are more than welcome to file a claim with them
