We purchased a kitchen-aid refrigerator for just under $3,000 march 2018, and purchased a 5 year warranty at the time of purchase. A couple months into our purchase of the refrigerator it started icing up and would over heat. Called carmonas and were instructed to unplug it and let it sit and then plug back in. We did this and it worked but it did the same thing again a couple months later. We have continued to do this for the past 5 years and carmonas techs have came out and replaced pretty much everything on the fridge and it continues to do the same. Each time this happens we lose some food depending on when we catch it and then are down a fridge sometimes for a day or sometimes for a couple weeks. For a family of 5 this has been challenging. We have asked multiple times what else can be done as clearly there was a problem with this fridge from the start and have heard from the techs that there is a bulletin on this fridge for having this issue. We have had the extended warranty so have not been out the costs of repairs but that is set to expire in two months. Currently we have more parts on order but the tech agrees its not going to fix the issue and said only thing we can do is contact the warranty company which I did only to be told repeatedly we dont have a warranty its expired. When we contacted carmonas back they confirmed the warranty company is wrong and will email them that this has been a problem. At the end of the day we need a working refrigerator and we should have never had this repeated issue for so long on a $3000 fridge. ******** sold us the fridge and sold us the warranty so I dont feel its our responsibility to argue with a warranty company. We would like a store credit just to get another fridge and for them to pick this one up. I cant in good faith second hand sell this fridge to anyone knowing they will be plagued with these issues. We have asked for this a few times and just get the run around. We need to resolve this.
