On 11/28/22 I had my car towed to Aamco granted this is clear across town for me but they were recommended to me. Car is still at the shop and its not repaired they have given me the runaround saying theyre waiting on parts. The Friday before Christmas I spoke to **** he said they had all the parts in and that they would start working on it as soon as the builder got back from vacation from ****** which wouldve been on Tuesday, December 27. I had let him know that I start a new job on the 27th and that I needed a car he said to go ahead and rent a car and then he would take care of it he would deduct it from the total. So I went and rented a car since then the transmission has been taken apart and yet again more run around on their part. I let **** know that the rental car was up to $600 now and he denied ever telling me that he would pay for it, he said he told me he would give me discounts Where he could. I told him thats not what you told me and he said I misunderstood him this was Friday 1/6/23. He then told me he would call me before the end of the day to give me an update I never heard from him theyre closed on the weekend I called first thing this morning 1/9/23 only to find out that **** is on ****. The man who answered the phone told me that they were waiting on one part that they had found when they open the transmission and that it should be here on Wednesday. Since then I had to call work that *** when he told me he wasnt paying for the rental as I took it back to Hertz. The people at Hertz remember clearly I called Aamco the day I rented the car just to confirm that yes he did want me to rent a car I spoke to **** the front desk gal she told me yes we were just talking about that go ahead and rent the car I feel like Im being discriminated against.Fast forward they charged me $1k just to release my car so I could take it to another shop. Transmission in a million pieces. Missing parts,just thrown in my floor board and trunk. Didnt pay for rental

3 years ago the company AAMCO in ***********, **, installed a transmission in my 2016 ***** sonic LT. **** I received the vehicle back the check engine light was still on and it was slipping gears. AAMCO told me dont worry about that. Its a new transmission so it might take some time for the check engine light to turn off. I took the car to another mechanic 3 years later after many problems began arising one after another, and was told my transmission was, in fact, not fully bolted in. I have 2 children and a wife who drove to many high risk pregnancy appointments, unknown to all of us, we could have all been seriously hurt or killed if the transmission dropped while traveling. I called AAMCO once I was told they didnt complete their job, and they asked me to bring it back. They kept the car for 5 days with no communication, until I reached out to them. AAMCO said, because you are not covered under your insurance anymore we would have to charge you to fix it, which is unacceptable as this was their responsibility to make the damages they caused right. I retrieved the car and now have to pay out of pocket to get my car properly repaired through a different mechanic. This company not only ripped me off, but put my young children, and other drivers at risk of serious injury and/or death because they refuse to correct their mistake, let alone do the job properly the first time. They caused me to lose out on wages, I still have to pay out of pocket for their lack of oversight, and refusal to make it right.
