              Do not stay here! They have cockroaches, they know it, and they lied about it. Immediately upon checking in, we saw a live cockroach in the shower. We went back to the office and asked for a refund. The lady said it was not a cockroach, but a harmless water bug that comes up through the drain. She sent a man to remove it and she poured bleach down the drains. The man was in our room for a long time. She said the building had been sprayed a few days ago and should be fine now. We went to eat dinner. When we returned to our room I opened the cabinet under the sink and found a dead cockroach lying next to a can of Raid ***** spray. I googled pictures of water bugs and cockroaches, and there was no doubt it was definitely a cockroach. It had the little pinchers at the back that water bugs dont have. We left immediately and checked into the Holiday Inn Express (which was wonderful). I called the Pelican Spa the next morning and explained the situation to the man who answered. I asked for a refund since we didnt stay there and I could prove everything. He said he could refund most of my money, but not the extra fees they charged us at check in.
