I am writing this letter to dispute information that is on my credit report which is affecting my ability to afford stable housing. My previous complex has reported that owe them over 3000 dollars in rent and damages. This is simply not the case and it's not accurate. This has caused my housing voucher to be in jeopardy as I am disabled and can’t work a regular job. I have contested the balance that is being reported on my rental and credit history, but the Apartment complex won’t remove it. My attorney has sent them a copy of a demand letter that asks them to remove the charges. Due to the fact that they have not responded to my demand letter, I plan on taking my apartment complex to court but due to the laws of my state, I have to wait until they initiate legal action. They will not do so because they know that they will not win and they have a history of unfair treatment against me. I have attached a copy of my paperwork to verify. This is preventing stable housing for my family. I have previously had to attain legal help to get them to make repairs that they refused to make and since then they have taken action to put information on my rental history that is not correct. They also kicked me out of my apartment based of information that is not accurate. I have attached a letter from them forcing me to vacate but I also have attached a police report that directly contradicts their reason for putting me out. The officer even said that based on video surveillance that I was guilty of what they accused me off.
