I moved in to Hackensack condo and was there 1450 since my sofa was stuck in stairway. The property manager threatened me if I move my property into my own unit they will call the police. They never picked up my phone. They held me outside building for 30 minutes then 1530 they "allowed" me to move in to my own unit but had to complete by 4pm after holding and threatening me 30minutes outside. Of course there was no way I could complete moving all furniture in 30 minutes. Now they charge me 615 dollars as a fine and late fee. They are not only managing property poorly but treating me as a unit owner inhumane in a disgusting manner. I really think they have to be furnished.Taylor Management Company Response

Taylor management has been harassing me and my family for many years, and in writing they not only have refused to speak to me, as a homeowner, they continue to only refer me to the attorneys, which immediately charge me for issues Taylor are obligated to discuss with me. I have written them on numerous occasions, and have asked in writing, if someone else, other than the property manager, can deal with my concerns, as a result, they have ignored me, and have never addressed my concerns about the property manager. It is my opinion, that his actions, have been discriminatory as per my background, he has also specifically targeted other minorities in my community, with the same lies and actions. He has basically extorted us, on behalf of Taylor management. He also has refused that I address the hoa board. I am at my wits end of this harassment, and do not know what else I can do, despite both legal and personal correspondences to rectify this issue once and for all??Taylor Management Company Response

Trying to get a response from Taylor Management Company as a homeowner is nearly impossible. For $500 a month they do not answer emails, they do not return phone calls, and seemingly no one knows what they're doing. They don't pay attention to anything I say until I threaten to withhold my HOA payments. They are an absolute nightmare of a company. Taylor management became our property management company on January 1st 2023. Taylor management has done a terrible job for our community a total lack of transparency, failure to answer phone calls and or emails,a rude and condescending property manager.. Horrible property management company! I'm an owner in a condo building and in the last five years we’ve been through three property managers from Taylor. Their common treats are to lie to your face and snub you. I am at the point where I believe that this is their main corporate training and meaning in life. Sadly, our board allows them to do all this. Here is one example of Taylor management handling of a legitimate enquiry. After asking what was the cost of some recent big expenditures and getting the runaround game but no answer, I requested access to the HOA financial documents. Condo owners have the rights to see all the HOA financial expenditures as stipulated by a NJ State law. We also have a by-law stating the same right. Taylor could not care less about the State law or our condo by-law. After serving me a lot of lies and delays over the span of several months my last resort was to file a complaint with ***. You should see the Taylor’s employees after receiving that complaint. What they could not show me after months of waiting, they produced in three days when the *** stepped in. We sought approval for bathroom alteration. Our Contractor sent all the necessary documents to ******************. In almost all of the follow-up conversations through email, he never failed to look for something to delay the work. He asked for the *** of both the Contractor and the plumber since it is implied in the alteration form that if sub-contracting is done (for plumbing) then it is a pre-requisite. When evrything was submitted, he then insisted that only the plumber of the Management can shut down the valve. Why in the world would you ask for a plumbers insurance when you knew all along that it could not be possible? This is just one of the many instances when he exercised too much oversights. Because of his delaying tactics, every week we keep on sending him modified ***s to change the dates. And in the last minute he was asking for auto insurance from the Contractor. Said the latter could not park within the condos parking premises. But there is a public road in front. Too many antics to spite the resident and the Contractor. He took everything to a personal level that professionalism and efficiency in the performance of his duty was highly affected. Definitely not a people person. I never had the chance to talk with him since he never answered any phone call. Hope the proper authorities can delve on this matter. We are very distraught with this. We serve people too so we know how important time is. Please do something about this person. He might be the reason for your companys downfall. Horrible Management company! I have lived in Eden Lane for 28 yrs. Have had gutter in front of building overflowing for those 28 years! All they do is clean out the gutter, which is not solving the issue. The issue is water comes in my unit from A/c sleeve and down my window. They do not want to address or find a solution to this,I have suggested ideas,all they say is no. The issue is I should not have water coming in ,in the first place! cleaning the gutter is not soloving the problem of water coming in through A/C sleeve and down window. Honestly water shouldn’t be coming in units,period! The fact that Taylor Management has done absolutely nothing to correct this is absolutely astonishing!Taylor Management Company Response

This company is absolutely awful. My condo was involved in a fire resulting in a total loss of my home. They have mismanaged every step in the process. They did not pick permits on time. They are forcing us to pay HOA fees on an unhabitable building. We are 3 months from the date of the fire and ZERO progress has been made. They are quoting 2 years for the completion of my home. I truly believe this timeline is a fluff for their lack of urgency. It is absolutely criminal. They have no regard for basic human decency. To top it all off, we received an email today that we have 1 week to remove all damaged contents from our homes. 1 week when we had a fire 3 months ago!!! I am utterly disgusted when I see communication from them. They should not be able to move forward with business as staffed today. I wish I could give negative stars.
