    My wife and I received immigration physical exams and lab tests in CHI Health Clinic Southwest on December 1st, 2021. We paid our copay upon check-in and provided our health insurance information. Several weeks later, we received two big medical bills from CHI Health St. Elizabeth Home Med, which tell us that our health insurance did not cover the cost of the medical service at all. The medical bills charged us $268 per person for tuberculosis blood test and $195 per person for syphillis blood test. After searching the prices on the internet, I found that the charges on the bills are more than twice as high as the prices given by other testing labs, such as *******. I tried to negotiate with the billing office to reduce the cost, but was refused by them. Instead, CHI Health billing only offered us payment plans that would cost us more in total. I sent an email to try reaching out the patient advocate related to CHI Health, but never hear anything back. In my opinion, CHI Health St. Elizabeth has charged unreasonably high prices for the lab tests we received.
