I was referred to Tommy L**** at Square Footage on August 20th 2023. It seemed to be starting smooth.... Tommy came out within a week, measured my covered back patio extension to be. It was only a 12x14 extension. Tommy L**** made it sound like an easy job. He said things like "i can do this job in my sleep". "This is just a small lego block extension" So i signed the contract, and gave $6,000 down payment on 9/15/2023. Tommy gave me a 4-8 week time frame. Tommy said he'd have my plans/ final design done within a few weeks. He promised the install would take place before December 30th. None of it ever happen, no site plans, no installers, Tommy would answer the occasional call, and give excuses after excuses. I've been a roofing / solar contractor for 5 years. I get there is bigger and priority jobs. But don't insult someone's home, saying "this lego block extension, i can do in my sleep, will be easy". When you can't even execute on a small job... Fast forward to March 26th 2024. No work ever got done. So I canceled the contract, and said give me $6000 dollars back. Today 5/4/2024, still NO CHECK has came in the mail. Truly pathetic service, communication, timelines. I feel like I've truly been scammed... even though i was referred by one of your top clients. Shame on you Square Footage, shame one you. Update: after Tommy said he’s give me my money in May…. It’s September 2024 and he’s still giving me the run around. DO NOT USE THIS Company!!!!! Give me my $6,000 downpayment back, it’s been 6 months since I canceled!!
