      Poor customer service. I had a building built in July 2020,I also paid for a double door. I reported last of January that the door opens. I left my info to my home which is not 30 miles away. I was told someone would get in touch with me. I reported it again on 1-31-22 the door is open again. Lady told me the other side has to be in the notch, I told her I have the top & bottom locked in. She said when someone get to it, & to put a brick against it. I told her I have valuable merchandise in there, & I live in the country. Don’t want nothing stolen. To pay almost 2,500.00 for a shed,& to put a brick against the door to keep it from opening is not appropriate. My shed is not 1 1/2 yrs old. I just need my door fixed & an acceptable date & time someone can check it. I do think your advertisement & workmanship should mean something.

      Upon receiving Mrs. *******’s complaint concerning the doors popping open on her portable storage building, we pulled her invoice and discovered the building was purchased on August 1, 2020, which exceeds our one-year workmanship warranty; however, we try to address issues past this date if any way possible just to keep our customers well served. We found this to be an unusual claim because in the rare case we have had in the past with a door popping open, the occurrence happened within two-to-three months of delivery and set up. However, we sent someone to evaluate the building, and adjustments were made to the building including adjusting the door and fixing the threshold that had been damaged by the customer. Photos were taken of this damage. Upon completion of this visit, the customer was told to please call if the door popped open again. We did receive a call from Mrs. ******* once again that the doors were popping open. We sent someone to her home the next day to evaluate. With that being said, we do not have many complaints with our building so therefore do not have a full-time service department. We do try to service the customer as soon as possible because we understand the importance of keeping one’s valuables safe. We contacted the door manufacturer, and they said they didn’t know how that could be happening and advised to make sure she is closing the door completely. Today, March 2, 2022, ******* *******, owner of Chatham Enterprises, Inc., spoke with Mrs. ******* on the telephone. He explained we were puzzled as to why the building doors have just begun to pop open a year and five months after purchase. However, he informed her that we would replace the door at no charge to her. The mentioning of poor craftsmanship is a false statement and the employee mentioned in her complaint stated he did not reference it. Once again, out of our desire to continue our trustworthy customer service for over thirty years now, we will replace the doors as soon as possible at no charge to Mrs. *******. We will inform you when the installation has been completed. Please let me know if you need anything further from us. Have a blessed day!
