Complaint: I am having repeated incidents on accessing a site I host at this company. At first I had both **************************. And then the company restricted secure access to only ***, leaving insecure FTP. In any case the main cause of this complaint, is that my *** access is being repeatedly reset and disabled and enabled seemingly without good reason.
Business' Initial Response
Complaint Resolution: Company addressed the complaint issues. The consumer failed to acknowledge acceptance to BBB.

Complaint Category: None of the Above - Contract Complaint Issue
Complaint: Since before 2002, we have paid annually to have our specific business domain name (www.winnetkafamilymedicine.com) hosted by https://www.aplus.net. This summer they allowed our domain name to be released and it was quickly taken up by a company with an outrageous asking price-see: http://www.hugedomains.com/domain_profile.cfm?d=winnetkafamilymedicine&e=comWe are partially to blame for the situation because the annual payment for the domain name was done automatically through our old email address and old credit card both of which changed in the spring. Our complaint is that when our email service ceased to exist, any communications from them could not get through (they would have bounced back). They made no attempt to contact us via phone or fax about the very important possibility that we might lose our web site name. They simply let it go despite the fact that we had been loyal customers for more than 10 years. I contacted them and said they were unable to retrieve it.
Initial Business Response
Complaint Resolution: BBB determined the company made a reasonable offer to resolve the issues, but the consumer did not accept the offer.

Complaint: THERE IS AN ON GOING PROBLEM BETWEEN APLUS (DELUX FOR BUSINESS) AND AOL. I PAY BOTH COMPANIES FOR SERVICES ON THE INTERNET. APLUS IS PAID FOR MY WEBSITE, WWW.BEDNBISCUIT.COM AND FOR MY WEBMAIL, *****@BEDNBISCUIT.COM/ THIS IS HOW I SURVIVE.I HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO SIGN INTO MY WEBMAIL OR ACCESS MY WEBSITE THROUGH MY AOL ACCOUNT BECAUSE THERE IS A WAR GOING ON BETWEEN THE TWO COMPANIES. I COMPLAINED BITTERLY OVER THE WEEKEND, APLUS FIXED IT FOR A SHORT TIME AND THEN IT REVERTED BACK. WHAT THIS MEANS IS THAT THE MILLIONS OF PEOPLE THAT HAVE AN AOL ACCOUNT ARE UNABLE TO ACCESS MY INFORMATION AND THEREFORE WILL INSTEAD GO TO A RIVAL COMPANY. I ALSO PAY OTHER ON LINE SITES TO LIST MY BED & BISCUIT ON THEIR SITES SO NOT ONLY AM I LOSING BUSINESS (AND CRITICAL PERSONAL EMAILS) BUT PAYING FOR OTHER SITES TO LIST A WEBSITE THAT IS UNAVAILABLE IF SOMEONE HAS AOL. I ALSO USE BED & BISCUIT FOR ANIMAL RESCUE WORK SO LIVES ARE LOST AS TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE.APLUS TELLS ME THAT THEY CAN ACCESS THE WEBSITE AND WEBMAIL SO NOTHING IS WRONG...HUH? THEY DON'T HAVE AOL. THEY ARE ADDING INSULT TO INJURY.THERE IS A WAY AROUND THE BLOCK BUT APLUS DOESN'T WANT TO BE BOTHERED. IT DID IT THIS WEEKEND BUT DON'T WANT TO BOTHER WITH IT ANYMORE.ADDITIONALLY THEY ASKED ME THROUGH DELUX FOR BUSINESS TO SEND INFORMATION AND THEN BLOCKED MY EMAIL.WHAT IS WRONG WITH THESE PEOPLE? THEY NEED TO FIX THE PROBLEM IMMEDIATELY.
Business' Initial Response
Complaint Resolution: BBB determined that despite the company's reasonable effort to address complaint issues, the consumer remained dissatisfied.

Industry Comparison ChartX
The information in the table below represents an industry comparison of businesses which are of the same relative size. This is based on BBB's database of businesses located in Minnesota and North Dakota. Businesses may engage in more than one type of business. The percent of time the business engages in a type of business is not accounted for. There is no known industry standard for the number of complaints a business can expect. The volume of business and number of transactions may have a bearing on the number of complaints received by BBB.
