On April 25, 2023, the business entered into a Consent Order with the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry (DLI). The Consent Order settles allegations that the business violated Minn. Stat. 326B.082, subd. 11 (b)(1)(3)(8); 326B.84 (2)(12); 326B.86, subd. 2 (2022) and Minn. Rule 2891.0040, subps. 1C and 1D (2021). Under terms of the Consent Order, the business agreed to not allow unlicensed persons or entities to use their license number to fraudulently obtain building permits or for any other purpose and shall not apply for or obtain a building permit for a residential project unless they have a contract with the property owner. The business also agreed to have current general liability insurance and to provide a copy to DLI on an annual basis. The business also agreed to pay $3,000.00 of a $10,500 penalty with the balance stayed on the condition they comply with the terms of this Order and have no future violations of any laws, rules or orders under DLI authority.
