I had a new AC unit installed. The salesman talked me into an air filter that cost an extra $500 which I did not know upfront. They installed it right next to a permanent pole in my basement and I can barely get it open to change the filter. To have it changed back out I would be charged over another $500. They also installed a defective part which was covered by warranty from the manufacturer. Everything else was billed to me they billed me over $1000! I had the unit only one year and two months. Even the service tech said he has not seen this happen in units over 15 years old. He laughed and stated I shouldnt buy a lottery ticket. I called the owner and he brought the price down but are still charging me $645. So disappointed in this company. They lied to me from sales to service and even the President of the company wouldnt stand behind their errors. Do not go with this company they will lie to you to make a buck. They dont stand behind anything.

I've been a long time customer(15+) and have purchased several heating and AC units from Davis Comfort Systems. I regret to say I spent so many dedicated years with this company but I did not get the dedication back from them. First of all, don't by a Trane product. Even though they are expensive they are not a high quality. At least half of the years I needed some one to come out to get my AC working in the spring and repair work done. My previous air conditioner lasted under 10 years and the compressor went out. About 2 years ago I set up my regularly scheduled service appointment for spring cleaning, which I was charged for even though I was told that the units compressor was broke and it could be repaired but based on the age they would recommend a new AC unit. Unfortunately I bought the new Trane AC less than 2 years ago and the compressor has gone out! After spending around $5,000 less than 2 years ago it was going to cost me $1,200-$2,000 in repair bill because only the part is under warranty and they charge full price for everything else. Maybe they sell this product knowing they will make a lot of money in repair bills.
