I will never purchase furniture at Slumberland, Marshall, MN. I ordered a couch and 2 recliners in September 2023; never to be seen. The Marshall store never received the furniture order and when I would call to inquire, all they could tell me the order got "pushed back" or one response was "I tried getting ahold of the company and they never got back to me." I got sick and tired of the excuses as to why the furniture didn't arrive. I paid half down at the time of purchase. When I said I'm tired of waiting, I want my money back, I was told I could only get 90% (not 100) because of "restocking fees". I said wait; restocking? I never got any furniture and never did this store!! The answer was still NO; you only get 90%. Again, NEVER will I buy furniture from this store. I always thought the customer "was right" and we want you to be happy; NOPE, not this Slumberland store. One week has come and gone and my credit card has not been credited. The response was "it might take a few days." Really?! So very, very unhappy!!Slumberland, Inc. Response

We apologize for the delays in getting the customers order to her. She purchased special order products which are custom made to order. All special-order items are subject to a 25% cancellation fee. This was outlined on both the front and back of the customers sales receipt as well as explained to her at the time of purchase and when the decision was made to cancel her order. When the order was cancelled, the store processed a refund minus a fee of $154.64. The standard 25% cancellation fee for their special order would have been $723.00. The refund was applied back to the customers **** card on 1/5/2024.Review from Julie S

I purchased furniture from this store recently and it was defective. The salesperson told me there was nothing she would do to make it right. Now I understand why this is not an accredited BBB business. I would caution anyone from buying anything here as the quality is poor and the customer service is even worse. I have bought things at the Rockford IL Slumberland and they were wonderful. So you could also just drive 30 minutes to a better store that is honest and stands behind what they sell.Slumberland, Inc. Response

Slumberland does not show any purchases under the name or email provided since 2013. We would appreciate the information used during the recent purchase made that led to this complaint so we can look into it and follow up with the appropriate parties. Purchased loveseat 1/22/23 showed up with nicks in the leather seat marks and rolled padding under the leather. Sales person was dishonest about financing terms. Called for service and have been going back and forth and back and forth with their warranty company for now 10 months! Last technician took the whole couch apart himself in my home and put it back together incorrectly and it has been that way for months. Horrible customer service! I want to say that I encountered a bad experience at Bloomington Slumberland! I bought a mattress from that store but it was too hard on my back so then I got a clearance one that had a hole in it and pilling. I was told that since it's a clearance item there's nothing they can do. You know what I am very ANGRY about how terrible this Alec person was. I was in the store to show pictures of my mattress and this Alec guy said "Put the mattress cover over it and forget about it". I paid money for that mattress and now Im stuck with a piece of shit. I absolutely hate SLUMBERLAND and thought you should know of my horrible experience. Also the sales person saying the delivery crew put on the mattress cover now that's a lie!Slumberland, Inc. We purchased a 5 Year Warranty when we purchased our Love Seats that arrived in April of '22. This month Oct. '23 the latch handle broke on one So I contacted Slumberland where we purchased our set. The manager transfered me to their service department that gave me the company that actually covers the Warranty's phone number, which then transferred me to them. I went through the process of explaining for the third time what happened. The man was very hard to understand (poor english). We finally made it through it and he gave me a claim number then the Service Tech phone number and said, "He would call in three business days". Well three business days and they never called. So I called them myself and was told they never received my name, phone number or claim number and that I needed to go back to Protect All who has the Warranty. So I called and spoke with Customer Service at Slumberland in North Branch only to find out the phone number was wrong for Protect All. The Customer Service rep gave me the correct phone number. I reached out to Protect All again, only to hear that my information was never processed. Then Protect All person advised me what the steps were in order for the Warranty to be covered. Which by the way was never mention in my original phone call with Protect All or on the Warranty paperwork. When all I wanted was a simple latch and cable at this point to fix the love seat ourselves instead of having a service tech come out to repair. When I asked for just the parts to repair I was told, We have to have the serial number on the sofa along with pictures of the item that broke. This is ridiculous! THEY HAVE ALL OUR PURCHASE INFORMATION. The parts cost less than $7 to repair. This is why you don't buy Warranty!!! Let alone the poor quality of the furniture at a hefty price. Lesson learned we will never purchase through them again. Or say anything positive about them again.Slumberland, Inc. Response

Bought a brand new couch from the location in Casper, Wyoming and it was delivered wrong side up which meant it had a broke arm rest when we opened it and set it up. They then replaced it with one that had a broken leg, which I didn’t realize until after the 5-day grace period since they delivered it already put together. Once I noticed, I made the complaint and was told I couldn't receive a refund or full price in store credit. The store manager laughed at the situation and told me I should have done a better job inspecting the couch when it was delivered, he also told me I shouldn't have lifted the couch up by myself even though I never did or told him that I did, he made fun of my inability to tighten the leg of the couch even though it was broken, and kept asking me why I didn't notice the couch wobbling when it was first delivered even after I kept explaining that the couch never wobbled and that wasn't the issue. He laughed at me on the phone multiple times and continued to put words in my mouth, saying that I was back tracking on my original story even though I never once said the things he said I was saying.Slumberland, Inc. I paid off my bed,frame and mattress protector a month ago I waited 2 weeks then called this last 2 1st week was told next week last week was told it would be here today called today still not there so I called corporate they called the store they were real rude to Kendra from corporate they called with a update scottie from there called me rude telling me he dont know why YOUR mad and if I want it when it comes in then I need to come get it no one can say after spending 5k cash (half of that was our bed and being told we'd have it in 2 weeks now been a month) getting the run around and waiting that long spending that kind a money who wouldn't be mad we see why this store is closing now they are very rude customer service is in the toilet they don't even deserve a star here I just don't have the option of NO STARSlumberland, Inc. I bought a reclining loveseat in June and the reclining portion broke within a day of it being delivered. I called for service to fix it and the repair person said they would be sending a part and they would get back to me. I went and looked at the website expecting a date for the parts to get to me to find it saying the case was closed. I call slumberland to find out why and they say it was my fault it broke and so no longer under warranty. I asked to return the chair and they would not return or exchange it.Slumberland, Inc. We ordered furniture in May it took two months to get the furniture. Our salesman in Fargo told us he would include 2 throw pillows I fell in love with when we bought our couch. The Slumberland that scheduled our Denis refusing to get us the pillows we requested saying the couch doesn’t come with pillows. Well then maybe your salespeople shouldn’t tell people that they arranged for us to get pillows when they are just going to refuse to do it. We had to cancel and change a couple of things which resulted in refunds. One went through in two days. The other has taken more than a week and a half. We contacted our bank as it has been on our ledger for 10 days as pending. They have tried to put it through 3 times. Slumberland is refusing to release the funds until after the first of the month. Slumberland is trying to tell us it is our bank. Will never use Slumberland again. They are nothing but a bunch of liars and thieves. Judging by all of the wonderful reviews here we are definitely not alone. Run the other way folks!Slumberland, Inc. Response
