Xcel Energy contracted workers to do maintenance on our near by power lines. They removed branches from a neighbors tree, and placed them in my yard (near the electrical pole) and left trash (cigarettes, zip ties, various plastic) in the same area. I personally collected the trash and waited two weeks before contacting them as they had not yet picked up the brush. When contacting them about the mess, I was told they would set up a request to have the brush removed, after two weeks of no movement, I called them back to follow up. That time they told me they told me the first request wasnt made, and they would create another. A few days after this call was placed, someone from Xcel came to my house to put a sign on the door saying basically brush left due to emergency work is the tree owners responsibility. When I called back regarding that note, they said to disregard it and the request was still in motion. After another week if the stuff not being removed, I reached out again. This time they told me the request was closed and they could start another one. By this time it had been over a month this stuff has been in my yard (which is against City Policy). After requesting to speak to managers or someone who has influence at the company to resolve this issue. The manager ******* was dismissive about my issues, and when asked to have their supervisor reach out to me, they said they arent available but can reach out another day (which has still yet to happen). Finally after speaking with another representative an email was sent to the vegetation department leader who reached out to me after the weekend to let me know they would have it resolved, and someone picked up the brush this week. I have yet to hear from the manager about this. My concern is I cannot be the only person who has been left to clean up a mess from an organization as large as Xcel.
