            In November 2022, BBB received a scam tracker report about a call coming from someone claiming to work for TELUS.  The consumer received a call about a Senior discount offer and was asked for debit card and driver's license information. TELUS does not ask customers for their full license number or debit card information; however, for verification purposes will ask for the PIN on the account that was set up by the client and if they cannot verify will ask for the last 3 digits of a driver's license to secure the account. If it is a new account, TELUS will require 2 pieces of identification.  Consumers receiving emails from [email protected] are advised to report it to [email protected].

              We ordered 50 mbps internet. They sold us home security services internet and tv. Our speed as measured by online speed test services was 7-15 mbps. This low speed resulted in problems with watching tv trouble using internet. Door bell camera not being able to connect all night which is when the service would be needed. We spent hours at a time on the phone which had trouble connecting Also Telus. Many days on the phone. Now our case has been transferred to management who called when I had an appointment which I made clear to Telus that I had an appointment. I was not able to answer. Then no further call. They left a message saying they would call the next day so I waited all morning no call. Terrible customer service.

              Telus has sent me to collections for an alleged unpaid invoice of $500, from 2019 (5years ago) Im currently a stable and valuable Telus customer and have been for years with no mention of any outstanding charges Its now on my credit report, which has made a major degradation in my score Not one mention to me via email, text, call, of this fabricated outstanding balance in the last 5 years Telus run your business properly!
