    I have had one of my worst retail experiences ever with West Coast **** Ordered a car and placed a deposit months ago, and since have been subjected to bait and switch tactics, falsehoods, omissions and other illegal or at least immoral business practices. Finally had to get my deposit back and report them to the *****************************. I have been waiting for 13 weeks now, and am no closer to a car. I decided to post here as well as complaining at ******, since I found out in my research that the New ****************** of ** is housed in the same building as ******, so I am questioning whether ****** is independent enough to revoke the licenses of the offenders, or if new car dealer groups the size of the West Coast Auto Group would have to much sway over their decision.

    Good afternoon,

    The order for this vehicle was submitted to the Kia ******* in a timely manner a few months back. Unfortunately, it has not been built yet due to the delays in the industry and market. It is normal practice to take a fully refundable deposit to secure the order. Should something go sideways, we are happy to a refund on the deposit.

    When the customer became frustrated due to the wait time, we offered them a few options including a different car with the same price and colour that was arriving sooner. The family decided this was not going to work for them and they were unwilling to wait longer, so we mutually agreed to refund their deposit and cancel the deal.

    The vehicle they ordered is now scheduled to be built but is still not out of the production line. It will show up on our lot but may take longer than expected. Unfortunately, the pandemic pushed the production of vehicles and we have been dealing with these issues for months. Once we place the order, it is out of our hands until it arrives to us. 

    We hope that this family can find a vehicle suitable for them.
