This all started last year end of august. Paid deposit to Abalon and paid for their engineer. Was told my porch would be done before winter. Last contact I had was when Brent from Abalon came and had me fill out paperwork for city permit. Then had no contact with Abalon from Sept until end of April when I contacted them asking for a date to do the work on my porch. Was told end of May and it would take a week. I told them I have another company coming June 15th to do the rest of my porch as my roof joists and roof itself is sagging from the base that Abalon was supposed to repair. Next I heard was mid to end of June. So I had to delay my other contractor. I was then contacted by Brent saying it would be easier for them if they just removed my steps and I said no it was in the contract. Finally last week of June they showed up and was informed that there was an engineer revision and would be a 2 week delay to which I stated was unacceptable. Amazingly I was contacted by Brent saying they would be done June 30th and payment due to which I replied not until city closes permit. My wife was told for 2 weeks by Brent from Abalon that it was our responsibility to contact the city for inspection so we did on July 22nd when he was informed from a previous text he sent me that it was their job. ** ******* **** ******** ******** It stated in contract Abalon to supply permits and arrange for inspection. It also stated in engineer drawing Abalon to pull permits and arrange for final inspection and to check arrange for closing of permits. On Aug 8th I spoke to Jillian accounts receivable at Abalon to no avail. It seems they are intentionally delaying this as they know I have another company I have paid a deposit to and my porch is in rough shape and will probably not make the winter. 2 things in the contract they have not lived up to *** *** ***** ***** *** *********
