Churchill Downs Incorporated (CDI) is a diversified, nearly a half billion dollar market cap company, delivering racing, gaming and entertainment, onsite and online. Churchill Downs began operations in 1875 as a Louisville horse racing track and is home to the Kentucky Derby, generally considered North America's premier race for Thoroughbreds. In recent years CDI established TwinSpires.com, an advance deposit wagering (ADW) platform. CDI also owns a 50% ownership in HorseRacing TV (HRTV), a national television network featuring live horse racing from popular tracks around the country, and TrackNet Media Group LLC, a digital media rights management company created to buy and sell horse racing content. CDI operates other track and gaming facilities incuding Calder Casino and Studz Poker Club and Fair Grounds Slots. These facilities offer slot machines and video poker machines between Louisiana and Florida. CDI has also acquired Youbet.com and Youbet's United Tote subsidiary, a supplier of totalizator systems, equipment and technology that process wagers and payouts and provides pari-mutuel tote services to racetracks including Aqueduct, Belmont, Churchill Downs, Keeneland and Saratoga.
