1.) This is about a terrible paint job completed in my Great Room, Kitchen, 2 dining rooms which a brand-new hardwood floor and baseboards and door frames in August/September of 2023. 2.) I contracted with Briteway Painting to paint the rooms above. I was told he wanted to use ******* ******** top of the line Paint. I informed him I would rather use ******** ****** which I considered would be a better paint however at a $2 higher cost. He agreed he would pay me per gallon based on the SW paint. After the job he stated he rewrote the contract and the cost of the paint was put on me. I disagreed he did not care, I never signed his amended contract. The costs of the paint was for 13 gallons at $90 per gallon. 3.) Most of the painters did not speak English but were hard workers. However, there was no communication possible between myself and them since I do not speak Spanish. The manager of Briteway Painters never showed his face again at my house so I could point out the sloppy job the painters were doing. He advertised on his web page that everything would be protected from paint that needed to be by taping or tarps. The painters started the job with tape but must have ran out of tape. 4.) I handed the painters a couple of rolls of tape but they chose not to use it for some reason. Tarps were very loosely placed on the new hardwood floor but not covering the entire floor. Several scratches from ladders were made on the brand new $17,000 floor. 5.) The tape I handed the painters never being used was to protect the Stained Trim from painting over runs. However, since the painters decided to free hand without protecting the trim every piece of trim had ended up with paint on it. 6.) 2 painters per day were assigned to the job where it was a job for at least 4 would have worked much better and been capable of the other painters slowing down and doing taping and detailed work without ruining all the stained trim in my room.
