I received a statement from Rawlings Financial Services. It said I owe money for prescription to my pharmacy. I called my pharmacy and they told me that I don’t owe them anything. I pay them in full all the time.Review from Eric B

If you receive a letter from The Rawlings Group, may God have mercy on your soul. They are essentially bottom feeders for the health insurance industry. They are hired by health insurance companies to find loopholes which will allow your health insurance provider to rescind and take back payments already made to your doctor/hospital, thus making you now responsible for the bill. Even their web site boasts, “legal and industry expertise to deliver outstanding financial results to our clients” – in other words, they are good at taking money out of your pocket and giving it back to your health insurance provider when you’ve already paid premiums and deductibles. In our case, they claimed that my daughter was covered under two health plans at her birth – which she never was, she had one coverage. They took back all payments made to the hospital and made us responsible for 100% of the bill. It took us over a year, with threats of collections from the hospital, and us getting our state department of insurance involved, before they suddenly realized that yes, our daughter WAS only covered by one insurance! Never issued us an apology for THEIR MISTAKE and all the stress they put us under. Now another year later, they are back again, trying to claim that yet another doctor bill is not covered because of dual coverage. When I reach out to them, they don’t provide documentation and talk legal/double talk to confuse you. The Rawlings Group does nothing to help consumers, be prepared for a long fight ahead, document everything with them, and call your state department of insurance to file a complaint against them.Review from Horace R

I'm an attorney, and have had to deal with this company for subrogation issues. Terrible service, lots of inane procedures that are not communicated until it's too late to act. God help you if your provider contracts with them for subrogation and collection services.Review from Pamela T

The Rawlings Company are nothing but crooks and robbers. They consistently rob clients daily; they just don't have a gun! Kaiser Permanente should be ashamed of themselves for allowing a company like Rawlings to take advantage of their clients. Rawlings works as a medium for Kaiser where they seek money from settlements for accidents that Kaiser's clients are involved in for a repayment for services rendered to the clients. That should be unlawful but attorneys say they are able to do so ; it's called double dipping. When a client of Kaiser has an accident that is not their fault and sues the person liable for the accident, Kaiser wants to be repayed for their services rendered to their clients. That is unfair because Kaiser receives premiums for their services as that clients HMO. My retirement board pays Kaiser Permanente high-end premiums monthly to be my HMO and render services to me for my health care. Just because the clients have enough sense and intelligence to sue the liable person for the accident where they have been distressed over with their pain and suffering, does not mean that Kaiser Permanente should be entitled to receive some of the clients settlement money. If the third party wasn't sued and the client received no settlement, Kaiser wouldn't get a dime and would still have to render services to the client for their injuries. If Kaiser wants to be reimbursed for their services, they need to go after the insurance company themselves; not take money from the clients settlement!Review from Carol S

The Rawlings Company appears to be a scam that continues to try to rob people of money they have coming to them. They also appear to try to scam people of their money claiming there was an accident and payment was made on behalf of them. They claim there is another party or insurance company that should be held liable. Now they send letters demanding to recoup money for their clients when in fact the accident they refer to NEVER HAPPENED!!! Do not deal with this company even on the phone!Review from Deborah M

Hello Rawlings Company, I hope this email finds you well. I received a letter from you requesting information on behalf of Aetna. The back of the letter is a form I must complete, most of which does not pertain to me. I really would like to assist you but, as I mentioned in the previous paragraph above, most of the sections on the back of the form do not pertain to me. ***I do not have Medicare Coverage (Section 1 of the form) ***I am not on Social Security Benefits (Section 2 of the form) ***I am not employed by ***** and have not had ***** insurance since 2012 (Section 3 of the form) ***I do not feel comfortable divulging my current healthcare provider information (Sections 4 and 5 of the form) I do have healthcare benefits through my employer and am employed full time; however, I feel extremely uncomfortable sharing my current coverage information with you. I don't mean to be rude or non-compliant. In addition, I haven't had ***** since 2012, which is 10 years ago, so I'm not even sure what this claim is in reference to. Nor am I sure how my current insurance provider's information will help you, especially since I haven't had ***** since 2012. Furthermore, I have NOT been in an accident of ANY kind, have had NO work or on-the-job injuries, nor have I filed any wrongful injury claims, ever. With this in mind, I am still not sure why you are contacting me. Can you please assist? I find this disturbing and disruptive, especially since I haven't had ***** since 2012 and have never had any work-related, auto, or third-party injuries. Locating my ***** information from 10 years ago took over two hours.Review from Judith S

I receive continuing demand notices that funds are due to a health insurance provider. I responded by letter dated 11-20-2021, with substantiating documents attached, that the demand was invalid. I received no response to my letter yet continue to receive letters demanding over $1300.00 payment be paid by me. The latest demand is dated 01-26-2022. I have received a "Summary of Services" list from the insurer wherein is clearly stated that the funds being solicited was APPROVED by the insurer on 07-23-2021. Since the 'claim' in question was approved by the insurer, my only response to this continuing harassment is that it is a FRAUD.Review from Amy A

I received an audit notice from Rawlings Financial Services because a pharmacy in California (I live in GA) billed my old insurance company and for some reason my old insurance company paid $711.96 for some medicine I never received. I contacted Rawlings and they gave me the number to the pharmacy but I dialed that number multiple times per day for 2 weeks and it always went to a full mailbox. I proceeded to try to locate the pharmacy online and that website listed another number that is out of service. I can't help but wonder if this pharmacy really exists. So I am stuck paying $711.96 in order to avoid a collection that feels like a straight up scam in order to protect my credit. I never received a call or a bill prior to the collection for payment overdue.Review from Kiril C

These people are scum. I had and still have the exact same problem as Jake T. The company misinformed my insurance provider that I had other insurance and I’m still dealing with the fallout 15 months later.Review from CHRISTOPHER S

I was contacted by this company twice regarding a visit to the ER. The letter indicated ** **** was requesting information about the reasons why and wanted to know if it was related to an accident. I filled out the form and sent it back and then a couple of weeks later I got another letter asking for the same information with a note saying I did not reply to the first request. I looked this company up online and saw all of the complaints so wanted to add to them. I believe they're phishing for information and plan to call ** **** to complain about this companies business practice and horrible reputation on the BBB.
