May 22, 2023 • Tech comes out to assess • Determines it is the fuses- Tech checks compressor, freon, and capacitor- all are good • New fuses acquired and put in place • Unit starts sparking when turned on • Tech removes the top of the unit to assess further and determines that wires were melted due to bugs • Tech then gets wires from the work van and attempts to rewire • Fuses are put in again • Unit has a huge flame coming from the top when turned on • Tech then states that he cannot fix it today and has to order a wiring kit • Tech checks compressor, freon, and capacitor- all are good May 31, 2023 • Wiring kit comes in and is installed along with new fuses. • A/C appears to be working June 2, 2023 • A/C stopped working- fan is running but no cold air • Tech called out again • Determines wires are burned again. No mention of bugs being the cause. This time, wires burned the starter to the compressor, leaking freon. Told that a new compressor was needed to fix the unit. ** The homeowner purchased fuses. The homeowner called several times about an update on the wiring kit. The homeowner has pictures of the burned wires from May 22, 2023. Homeowner stopped by business to give them the info provided above on June 5th. Homeowner was contacted by owner of the company to come up with a resolution to the issue. The homeowner was sent a contract from business on the agreed upon resolvement on June 15. On June 16 the homeowner called the business once again to agree to the conditions of said contract. The business owner contacted the homeowner and stated that parts for the unit would be in in 7-10 business days. Homeowner has called the company and has not received a reply back. July 7, 2023 homeowner contacted the business and was told they would receive a call back. The homeowner waited 3 hours and still no call. The homeowner called them back and had to leave a message because at 12:17 PM all that was available was an answering machine.
