I am a 12 customer. On Friday December 9th, 2022 I noticed a high pitched sound when I started the car in the morning. The sound would show up periodically while driving that day. I call Toyota that afternon and they set up an appointment for Monday at 2pm. I am a professional and needed to get to work so I dropped the car at 7:30 am. I told the guy who checked me in that at start up the car made a high pitch sound and then a wizzing sound like the sound of a battery dying on a leaf blower. He told me it would cost $74.00 to check the car but not much they could really do and to bring it by the next time this happened. I ask him if he was sure and that I was happy to pay the $74.00 but he again stated that unless the panel lights were flashing that there was not way to determine what was wrong. I proceed to leave and as I passed *** second guy I explained that same thing and left. Heading back to work I heard the sound again. Made it to the parking lot. My car dies. Called Toyota. Nothing they could do. I called a tow truck. He jumped the battery. Looks like the starter or alternator. It cost me $125.00 to tow the car to the dealer. I ask Toyota to reimburse me for the tow. The person who told me to go on argued with me and said that a dead battery had nothing to do with faulty starter or alternator!!! Humm.. I disagree but did not argue the point. I told him to keep the $125.00 for the tow. I was thinging about buying a new car however; I will never step my foot in the door of another Toyota dealer. Cost $752.00 plus tax. It was not about the money but the horrible lack of service. The service used to be excellent. I
