I was overcharged and door broke 3x. Had to have another garage door business come fix their mistake. The other business said my door was installed improperly and the lack of a part(a metal bar) caused my garage door to fold in and dent. Highly do not recommend Siouxland garage doors. They will rip you off!!Siouxland Garage Doors Response

To Whom this may concern,
After a garage door has been worked on and services have been completed, unfortunate mishaps can occur. In this event, it is the customer responsibility to give us a call to try to resolve and additional issues. Unfortunately this did not happen. As a customer curiosity, we will offer a one time free service call and labor charge at no charge for this customer in the future. Any other information regarding this complaint is completely erroneous and unfounded.
Thank you

March 11, 2004, old garage broke. Called Siouxland Garage Doorr, they asked if it was an emergency, said yes, I had dr ***** the next day..... said they could have someone there in an hour. I thought I had hit the jackpot. The service man was there on time, replaced the door. One small problem, one of the panels had a bad defect on the bottom of the panel that I noticed. He offered a discount on that panel and I told him no, I wanted a new panel. Got the new panel, I think the following day. No problems. I was noticing the large screws on the floor of the garage and on the driveway, could not see where any were missing. On Sunday, May 26th I happened to notice that the arm on the opener that attaches to the door was really shaking.....looked at it and noticed there was only one s**** holding it on where there should have been 3 or 4. Son screwed remaining s**** back in, said it was stripped. Memorial weekend, could not call until Tuesday. Told me someone could be there between 1-3 on Thursday, May 30th. ********** told me that they do not use that connection piece anymore......red flag. He replaced it with a much more substantial connection and everything seemed OK until he gave me a bill for $352.03. I asked what that was for.....he told me he had to charge for mileage......told him if they had used the right connection in the first place, he would not be there......apologized saying it was company policy. Called the company, boss says that it was over 30 days...read my contract. There is nothing about 30 days for this part....Secretary calls the next day....again arguing that they have to charge for mileage. I said that it was not my fault that they used an inferior part that failed...SHE SAYS....IT WAS NOT THEIR FAULT EITHER!!! Charged $79 for travel, another $125 for travel and $125 for labor + ***** tax for a grand total of $353.03. I would like my money back....will never do business with them in the future or recommend them.Siouxland Garage Doors Response

On March 11, 2024 ****************** called our company out on an emergency call. As she stated, we were there in an hour and was able to determine that she needed a whole new garage door, We installed the new door the same day. (which is very quick considering most places, including our company, are scheduled out for new installs by at least 2 weeks but we rearranged our schedule because we wanted to make sure her garage door was in safe/working condition) She also wanted a new operator, we were able to give her a discount on a new operator by only changing out the motor, not the rail that goes from the operator to the door. (the piece that failed) ****************** called us back out on May 30, 2024 (81 days after our original visit to her home, and had been working great for those 81 days) stating that she had noticed some screws on the ground and that the piece was very loose. We sent our technician back out to her home to see what needed to be done, The technician did replace the piece that failed and did not charge her for it. The only thing that she was charged for was his time/labor & travel to go back out to *********** which is 55 mins one way. This is our policy for anything after 30 days. We have to charge for our gas/travel time in the truck for anything in the surrounding area, and also charge labor for our technicians time while he's there. We sincerely regret ****************** is unhappy with our company, we strive to ensure our customers are completely satisfied and happy with our business. However, the bill she received is accurate and we are unable to provide her any other discounts or refunds. The invoice that ****************** signed on March 11, 2024 states "This warranty covers ONLY the cost of replacement parts. Labor charges and service call fees connected with the installation of replacement parts are not covered by this warranty." The invoice on May 30, 2024 that ****************** signed for the amount of $352.03, states "I have authorized all work to be done on this invoice and I'm completely satisfied. I agree to all pricing. I agree to all the terms and conditions on both sides of this invoice. I understand that there are NO REFUNDS on any special orders or work rendered." ********************** claims are erroneous & unfounded.Review from Roland F

Siouxland Garage Door came to my house to repair a garage door cable and after ******************************************************************** a bill for $675.18. The parts were priced at $467. I could have brought these parts for less than $45 anywhere because I did check with other vendors. Their minimum service charge was $150 for the first hour. I feel that they took avenge of me as a senior citizen. I did contact the office of Siouxland Garage Door, they passed me off to the service man and he couldn't/wouldn't change the bill. This company cannot be trusted to give a fair price on the service that they provide. I should have gotten a estimate before their service work. So BEWARE of this company when dealing with Siouxland Garage Door.Siouxland Garage Doors Response

To whom it may concern,
**************** called us out for an emergency service, he received exactly what he needed to get his door in safe condition. At he beginning of the service call, A $40 coupon was authorized by the technician even though the customer did not physically have one, because he was a senior citizen. Furthermore, he received additional services for absolutely no charge, such as fixing his opener, tightening his springs, and completely balanced/reset the door. All additional services and parts, were needed to make the door safe and warranted. Most companies charge an hourly rate for each man on the job, because this was a senior citizen consumer, we only charged him for one hour labor for one man even though there was 2 men on the job. Other competitors charge $125+ per man hour for each man on the job. We regret that we are unable to make this customer happy and give additional ***********************. Any other information in this complaint is completely erroneous and unfounded.
