We purchased a home with Jerrys homes for our final retirement home, and have had numerous problems since moving in less than a year ago. We met with the owner before we moved in to be shown what colors and items were picked for the walls, flooring and the house. We were showing the house color of a light gray with light stone. (We loved it) When we pulled up to move in the house was dark brown with brown brick. ( We hate that color) To us that was a terrible mistake, but we were already locked into the purchase at that time. Problems:1. The home we purchased had pictures on the Internet. The pictures showed a patio cover, which was never put on the home.2. All window screens had to be replaced immediately upon moving in because they were all bent into place.3. Cracked window and living room.4. Kitchen cabinets coming away from the wall.5. Basement floor has various spots of raised cement. Which was discovered when we were building in the basement.6. Master bath shower floor has been replaced five times. Still awaiting a private flooring company to repair it after one year in the home.7. The grass when we moved in was very dry, which created huge $500-$1000 payments per month to the water company to green it up.8. Exposed wires that shouldve been covered up by sheetrock in the basement.9. Water heater that leaked and had to be replaced with within a week.We feel that these were the problems of Jerrys homes, builders, and subcontractors that did less than stellar work. Although all these items were addressed with a one-year warranty, I am worried about what the future holds for this house holding up. I would not recommend Jerrys homes to any of my friends or family.

The home was built to the specifications that were provided to ****************. in advance of closing on the house including stone and color selections. As part of the specifications review, **************** was given an opportunity to make changes like flooring and appliances which were done as requested. Additionally, upgrades such as the covered deck were not part of the specifications provided to **************** and were not included in the purchase price of the home. As **************** has acknowledged, all items submitted as part of his warranty protection has been resolved and the shower floor is in process of being repaired. Lastly, new sod requires extensive watering dependent on weather/season, until the roots are well established. The process for caring for new sod is reviewed in detail with each new homeowner as part of the orientation process and is explained that we do not warranty sod and trees after possession of the home.
