I booked a move with this company from a 2nd floor 2 bedroom apartment to a 3rd floor 3 bedroom apartment. I advised there was an elevator but not a freight elevator. I was quoted 2 men for 2 hours at $129, $99 truck, mileage, and 10% off because I paid a $25 deposit before the move date. On the day of the move, as I'm leaving for work I noticed 2 other men inside the truck. At 10am, my boyfriend calls with the rate of $168.50 for 3 movers, charges for moving pads, tape, and shrink wrap, none of these things I asked for. I expressed that rate was not what was agreed upon. I was instructed to call their boss, ** who stated that this should have been quoted as a 3 person move. I told him that should have been communicated prior and not sprung on me the day of. He played victim, trying to blame me for his poor communication skills. I told him I did not budget to pay for 3 movers. He advised it shouldn't be a problem. My boyfriend is updating me on how rude and disrespectful the movers are being. They threatened to take our stuff to their shop, they stopped multiple times to run the clock. At the end of the move, they tried to charge us over $1400. ** calls me asking how we're going to get the bill paid. I told him I was waiting for the correct bill and advised the total I was given was incorrect. ** proceeds to start yelling and cursing, stating he hates working with people like me, always complaining about everything, and trying to get things for f****** free. I asked him why is he speaking to me that way and my child is in the car. He said he doesn't care, it's his business and he'll run it however he wants. He said since I complained about everything he would bring the total down to $956 just so he could never have to deal with me again. I had my boyfriend write the movers a check so they could leave. They also took a picture of his driver's license, car, and plate as a scare tactic. This whole experience was traumatic and stressful.
