    On November 28, 2022, BBB requested that Residential Warranty Services respond to the alleged pattern. On January 18, 2022 the company responded to BBB and outlined steps they plan to implement to eliminate the alleged pattern of complaint. BBB will continue to monitor the alleged pattern.

    In April of 2022, the ownership of Residential Warranty Services changed. The new owners, operating under the name “RWS of America, LLC,” have informed BBB that their Parent Company, Porch.com, purchased both the assets and liabilities of Residential Warranty Services. Therefore, RWS of America, LLC has advised that they will remain responsible for responding to complaints on contracts prior to the acquisition.

      The worse experience. I have had this policy for 6 years and make my first claim last Tuesday, August 20th, 2024. I opted to call my own contractor as I have a special needs son who must have air conditioning because he has a genetic condition where he doesn't sweat. My A/C company was out right away as they know my situation. They checked out my unit and told me that it was the compressor motor, and that the owner was going to get me one and they would be back to install it. They had my unit up and running by early afternoon and texted me the invoice so I could submit it to my warranty company. I had paid for the service and I was told I would be reimbursed minus the deductible. I called after sending the invoice by email, but there is a time difference, and they had closed. The answering service took a message. I called three times on the 21at of August, trying to check if they had received my invoice. I finally spoke with **** and she worked with me and gave me another email to send it to. It still didn't go through to them. After multiple attempts, we resorted to me faxing it to her. It finally went through but it was going to go to another department and she would call me when she received it. Never heard from her. I have called every day they were opened to see if they had received my invoice. I talked to a ******** who told me he was sending a request to the fax department to get a confirmation that it was received. NEVER HEARD FROM ANYONE. Called again on the 22nd and was told by ****** it takes 72 hours and by Monday I should hear something and they will send me a check. I called today, the 26th of August and spoke to **** who said he doesn't see any confirmation and doesn't know if the invoice was received. He supposedly sent an email to the analysis team who reviews invoices, so at this time, I still don't know if my invoice was received. I would be stupid to renew this policy and put any more money out.
