*** owns iTravelInsured.com , Their travel insurance product seemed very robust with an emphasis on the many things that are covered by their trip cancellation coverage. All seemed good until you actually file a claim. What a HORRIBLE, impersonal process. All filing is on line. You never get to talk to someone handling the claim. There is a 2 week delay in answering each appeal related to the claim. We had a 10/17/23 trip to ****** cancelled by our travel agency and airline due to the terrorist attacks, a condition that *** claims to cover under their trip cancellation terms. However, the fine print on page 23 of the *** insurance policy, under general exclusions, *** claims they will not pay if the travel providers are financially viable and don't provide the agreed upon travel services. They used this to deny my claim, even though there was no way anyone would dare want to tour ****** at that time, and ****** had also closed the airport to international travel for a few days. Our travel agency was able to refund everything except the non refundable airfare ($1325 per person). So you'd think *** would at least cover this. Nope. After my appeal, they said that since I personally did not cancel the trip (the airline and travel agency did), that they would not cover it. Why does this matter? If the airline and travel agency would not have cancelled the trip, every one in our church tour group would have cancelled it, as there was no way we wanted to risk travelling to ****** at that time. I went through 3 different long appeals with them and asked to speak to someone in person (beyond the person answering their 800 number) to reason with them, but got nowhere with that. At a minimum, I felt that if that was their stance, they should at least refund the $800 we (my wife and I) paid for their worthless insurance which we were not able to use. Avoid ***/ iTravelInsured due to their horrible claims service, ambiguous policy terms, and poor excuses for not paying.Review from EDGAR H

iTravelInsured has been an absolute nightmare to deal with. We had purchased travel insurance for a much-anticipated $20,000 family trip to Europe. Unfortunately, the night before our departure, our daughter's appendix ruptured, forcing us to cancel our plans.What followed has been a grueling six-month ordeal. Despite our legitimate claim and the substantial amount involved, we have not received a refund or any meaningful assistance from the company. Their customer service is abysmal, to say the least. We've had to endure excruciatingly long waiting periods between email responses, sometimes stretching into weeks and even months.To make matters worse, we've diligently submitted all the required documentation multiple times, as has our travel agent. Shockingly, the first time we submitted our documents, they claimed that the information was lost on their end. Subsequently, we've been repeatedly told that our documentation is insufficient, even though we've made sure to provide everything they requested. It feels like they are finding every excuse imaginable to avoid fulfilling their obligations.Our frustration has reached a breaking point, and we've been left with no choice but to involve our lawyer in an attempt to resolve this matter. It's deeply disheartening that it has come to this point.I implore anyone considering iTravelInsured for their travel insurance needs to think twice. This company has demonstrated a complete lack of professionalism, responsibility, and empathy towards its customers.If there were an option for zero stars in this review, I would gladly choose it. iTravelInsured has proven to be a company that cannot be trusted to honor their commitments and provide the support they promise. My family's dream vacation turned into a nightmare, and iTravelInsured has only added to our stress and disappointment. *** travel insurance or iTravelInsured has Horrible custom service and what feels like a Scam to take your money and never pay out claim, and a system that seems designed to frustrate and not help the customer, and this a company I never want to deal with again or have anyone else deal with. You cant even talk to anyone in the ****************** they have people answering the phone but with no ability to help you, instead just tell you that it could take up to 60 business days to process claim. I waited two months to even hear from anyone in claims, and the was told I was missing a few items in my claim. They could have told me that a couple weeks after submitting my claim application. Then I was told it will it could be another 60 business days after my last document submitted. So the whole system or business seems designed to drag the ***********. This has been the worst customer service I have experienced in while so much so that i cam on here to write this review.Review from Brian F

Terrible customer service. Refuse to answer the phone or respond to inquiries. Zero effort at problem solving, just repeat the policy. The worst experience ever. Request to escalate problems to a supervisor was denied. Four months of zero effort and still not close to a resolution of my travel claim.Review from Roberta G.

I purchased a Cancel For Any Reason (****) policy for an all inclusive trip to ******, ******. It was purchased through a travel company via their AUTOMATED booking process. After having to cancel, due to Covid travel concerns, IMG/itravelinsured denied my claim. They claim I did not insure 100% of my trip, yet THEY sold me the policy which included the **** provision. I appealed the decision multiple times, asking for clarification why they sold me a policy that wasnt for the correct amount? Even the travel booking company provided me with additional documentation. To me this constitutes fraud. It is impossible to actually talk to someone at IMG/itravelinsured and their email responses are nothing but canned BS.Review from Maureen B

IMG/itravelinsured will not adhere to terms of the travel insurance policy I purchased. I have spent many hours dealing with my claim on a CFAR( cancel for any reason) policy for an airline flight. I have filed a complaint with the BBB, my credit card company and my state's Commissioner of Insurance. No resolution as of 1/25/2022 even though I filed my claim with IMG on 11/12/2021. The company's claims customer support is a maze of phone calls, emails, long hold times and misdirection. I caution anyone considering buying any kind of policy from IMG, ever!!! And a 1 star is way more than I want to give IMG. They have well earned a 0 or somewhere in the negative range if that was an option. Additionally, do NOT trust the BBB Accredited Business rating of an "A"!
