These people are impossible to deal with .I have so many different responses every time I contact them and no results in my favor. Seems to me that they are not interested in honoring my claim. How can this be? Is this not a no brainer ?Please do what you are supposed to be, and not run and hide when asked pressing questions. This is so unacceptable. I started having withdraws from my paycheck for wash. nat. insurance. I never signed up for a policy. I signed a paper at work to stop the withdraws .It is still coming out weeks later. I called several weeks ago and my policy was cancelled and they were going to check on a refund for me. I called again today as it is still coming out of my check. I was told your cancer insurance was cancelled but you had 3 policies. What??? I never signed up for any! I guess I was signed up for accident and heart insurance! I had never received any insurance cards or policy numbers at all. I was told they don't refund. So, I ask to speak with a supervisor and I was told they don't have any. LOL seriously!! I informed them that I will be contacting my lawyer about all this and I want my money refunded that you took for 3 policies that I never signed up for!!!! After reading these reviews and only paying for 3 years and then earlier today trying to cancel the policy I'm kinda inclined to agree with some of these folks... it's a challenge and hassle to try and cancel your policy and get possibly ripped off due to having no real idea what the return of premium is... if anything I'd rather I have what I paid for all back and preferably not use outdated methods of contact like faxing or mailing something... isn't this the age of emails and such?Washington National Insurance Company Response

You are getting a one-star rating from me because it won't let me give a no-star rating. I bought an annuity from you in 2002 for 10k and now I want to cash it out. The 2022 cash out amount was the same as the account amount. In 2023 the cash out amount is about $2000 less than the account amount. I have called twice since May of this year and been told I will receive letters explaining the difference. All I have gotten are three letters explaining why it is important to keep you guys updated on my address. THREE LETTERS THAT ALL ARRIVED THE SAME DAY. I have also contacted one of your agents, and he hasn't been able to get any answers either. Just so you know, I will be in ************ in mid-August. If this hasn't been settled to my satisfaction by then, I will be stopping by your corporate office for a "chat." Fair warning.Washington National Insurance Company Response

Horrible liars. We were told when we signed up, we could cancel our policy at any time and wed get whatever we paid back. We specifically asked this because we knew we werent doing 20+ years with the work site. Some tool named ***** said wed get it all back. Now Im trying to cancel this fake policy and theyre telling me Im losing everything *** paid into this. Thieves!! They lied to an entire police department. While helping my father with a claim regarding my mom who passed away found the experience to be incredibly frustrating and time consuming. I noticed during his interactions a rudeness, attitude and largely unhelpful staff with the exception of one supervisor. Many of the representatives were short, spoke gruffly and didnt appear to want to help resolve any issues. Continually lost or misplaced paperwork, requesting it to be submitted again at least 3 times. Also, requested paperwork for my mom who is deceased to fill out and sign. Eventually there was resolve but I cant imagine how frustrating and disheartening this could be for others in similar situations.Washington National Insurance Company Response

They used deceitful practices to sign me up for an accident policy. I called Healthcare Marketplace and spoke with an agent. Due to a time constraint on my part, I needed to call back. The agent then gave me a number and extension to call back. I called the number and they took me through the steps to fix my Healthcare Marketplace issue. The agent told me I had to sign for my BCBS insurance and so I did. Not once was any other insurance or policy other than my Marketplace benefits discussed. Then a few days later I had a charge on my bank account for a ********************** by the name of Washington National Insurance Company. Then a packet showed up in the mail for an accident insurance policy. When i called the company the agent used a bunch of double talk and redirection to try and and make it my fault. I am not sure why they have a good rating on BBB site because the ratings all over the internet say the company is deceitful and the whole thing is one large pyramid scheme. I don't know if that is true but they definitely are deceitful! Beware of getting a call back number from Healthcare Marketplace agents as well. That is how this all started. Worst insurance company to file claims with! Cannot get any information from customer service if you can finally get through without being disconnected. Only information you can get is online website that claims that they didn't receive the required documents so claim has been denied that have been sent via *** and faxed three different times over months of filing the claim.DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY THEY ARE A TOTAL SCAM!!!!!Washington National Insurance Company Response
