On 1-13-2023 our home received severe water damage. We hired Michaelis Corp to RESTORE our home. Over 2 months later, 2 seperate Michaelis crews, multiple fraudulent charges to our State Farm Ins, and still ith the exception of the carpet NOTHING has been completed. a few Examples: Michaelis charged our Ins. $4540.06 for Plaster over metal lathe with Level 5 finish....but put up drywall at 1/10th the price. Michaelis charged our Ins. $1010.86 for R&R BLOWN insulation 12" depth R30 at ****** sq. ft. but...... applied ROLLED insulation & the attic area where rolled insulation was applied totals 200 sq. ft. (I measured & have pics). Michaelis charged our Ins $367.20 to replace our R&R baseboard 4 1/4" but..... existing baseboard was. Michaelis charged our Ins $1949.26 & $530.13 ************** their Estimate states ****** sq. ft (entire room is only 360 sq. ft more importantly there's a$1203.26 OVERAGE??? Michaelis charged our Ins $1427.26 for Crown molding 3pc.....but put up primed pine 5 1/4" 1 pc (ONE) which is approx $1134.52 OVERAGE??? In addition: within the 2 months I have received 6 SIX different Estimates/Change Orders ranging from $11203.21 to $13139.05 to $16676.43 to $17113.66 to $12972.00 to $12580.48. On May 22 **************** emailed me a TODAY ONLY proposal at $4000. ****** with Michaelis declined Arbitration at our intial sit down meeting as well as stating "the Lein rights were up the next week she would file a Lein against our home....with my explaining to her it was up to 60 days to file a Residential Lein from date of COMPLETION (Michaelis employee, ******* came to our home the week of April 24th to replace a FALLEN vent cover (drywall opening for vent cut 2" to long, nothing for the screws to adhere to).....these are only a few issues I have pics, ************** providing more proof of Michaelis's ********************** you for your patience in reading my rant.
