Bad experience with working with Builder’s Sales Agent Date of transaction: 11/1/2023 – 12/18/2023 **** ******** ***** ***** ******* ****** ******** ** ***** Amount money we paid: $6,000 Earnest Money, $350 inspection, $650 appraisal $250 lawyer Disputing Issue: Questionable Behavior & Practices / Sales Contract in Violation of * **** ****** ********** ********** *** ******* I was a participant in the ****** ****** ********** ********** ******* and was approved for funding to help me purchase a home from Long Lake Builders. I spent a big chunk of my savings and paid $6,000 for earnest money to hold the house and was rushed into signing a sales contract without given proper time for my attorney to review the contract. The Sales agent was rude at times and really gave me a hard time when taking care of matters to secure my funding, such as home inspections, appraisals, closing, etc. From the beginning she would always threaten to pull the contract and keep my earnest money if I didn’t sign immediately or do things there way, in their time or ask for them to address issues with the house. It's felt like she was already looking for a reason to cancel after learning more about the affordable program and that we were a serious buyer. She gave me a hard time and was rude when she had to work with me directly. She also did not appear to show any customer satisfaction or extend herself to make sure things were done on their end. The lack of customer service and preparedness really damaged the integrity of my purchase and contributed to me losing everything.
