              My sister passed away on April 6th in Beaumont TX. I had her body sent to Carnes Funeral home for cremation and paid for the cremation and 6 death certificates. Because she is in TX the next of Kin has to sign papers allowing for the cremation. Her children will not sign the papers. I have had real problems with this funeral home keeping in contact with me about all that's gone on. After 3 weeks they said that the county would take over. When the county took over and found out there was a life insurance policy they put it back in my hands for a burial. I contacted the funeral home again and they sent me paper work to fill out to send to a company that files with the Life insurance to get the burial paid. That was April 29th, I called again on May 3rd and they assured me that this was taken care of.Today I called the Insurance company and the Company that files with the Insurance company and neither has heard any thing from this funeral home about gettin this.

              I’ve had an absolutely horrendous time trying to get my calls and emails returned from the funeral directors and management. I’ve been ignored. A mistake on paperwork was made on their behalf over a year ago and communication since then has been atrocious. While processing all my grief, the last thing I want to do is constantly have to follow up on something that shouldn’t have happened in the first place.
