            Since January of 2008, the Greater Houston BBB has been sending all new complaints filed on any individual dealership to Sonic Automotive for resolution. We are in talks with both the regional office and specific dealerships to try to get past complaints and future complaints answered, addressed and resolved.               From the beginning there was mishandling of information with the finance department. As we were signing documents they were telling us something different than what we were signing but ran through the process. Within a week the "certified pre-owned" vehicle began smoking on us at every stop. We took it back to the dealership and spoke with the general manager who assured us he can put us in another vehicle. But instead put us in a loaner for over a month and avoided every form of contact with us. No one in the dealership returned our phone calls. Before they went silenced we have texted messages back and forth of the general manager stating he will put us in a vehicle with no issues. Now with our personal items in the loaner vehicle they came and towed the car away without any notice whatsoever.

              We bought a brand new 2022 Volkswagen Atlas from Volkswagen Cypress in July. Our oil light started coming on within 2 weeks of the purchase. It only got worse from there and finally wound up with us purchasing oil to put in the car almost as often as gas until the car had a major malfunction and needed 4 quarts of oil. Volkswagen Cypress has customer service has been almost non existent and anything that has been done to date is because we suggested it. They have had my car for almost 2 weeks now and I have not had one promise kept in regards to keeping in contact with me. I understand that sometimes cars are lemons and that VW Cypress has nothing to do with that, however, I don't understand the lack of customer service and communication. I would NEVER buy a car from them again. Unfortunately, I feel like this is going to end in a law suit to protect myself and my family.
