    Hello, My name is ************************************* and I'm contacting you in regard to an issue that hasn't been resolved through the contact center of ******* California. My health insurance began on September 1st, 2022 and it was terminated on November 30th, 2022 as per my request. Please see the attached insurance cards for all my family members including myself.My child was sick with a fever and had an eye infection. I needed to take her to see a doctor that day so I called the phone number listed on the back of my childrens insurance card. This was supposed to be the phone for the medical office we were assigned to. However, upon calling I was told that the phone number on the card was wrong. This number was for a doctor that specializes in allergies for adult patients. Next, I called the customer service number and asked to be provided with names and addresses for urgent care locations for children that I could go to and would accept our insurance plan. After verifying all my insurance information, I was given three urgent care places that I could go to. I took my child and drove there immediately. Each location denied my insurance after thoroughly checking it and after I told them that my insurance said it would be covered here. I spent around two and a half hours driving to and waiting in these offices with my sick child. When I called the insurance again, they denied my requests to talk to a manager and refused to let me cancel my insurance. I was told to go to the emergency room of the nearest hospital. So after almost a few hours driving around with my sick kid, I was offered to wait for likely three or more hours in an emergency room for a simple eye infection. I ended up paying cash at urgent care so that my kid wouldnt be in pain anymore. I called the insurance company multiple times to cancel it, but they said they didnt have such an option because I enrolled through ******* California. If I had known that this insurance would be so worthless and inept, I would never have purchased it. I am contacting you about backdating my termination date for my insurance to the day I signed up for it (September 1st, 2022). The insurance company failed to even provide basic correct information. Even after calling and talking to a representative, I was giving false information. Due to this negligence, hours were wasted in getting care for my daughter. We have never used this insurance. I have paid cash for our medical care (receipts can be provided) because after this experience I knew that this health insurance was worthless. I choose this insurance plan in the higher price range in hopes that I would have better coverage but learned that they could not even provide me with correct information and a covered place to take my sick child.Thank you for all your help!have a wonderful day.Best regards, *************************************
