I had a unexpected tooth pain that needed to be seen before weekend. I went to gateway dental in Fairfield and was informed that the damaged tooth was in bad shape to just extract it in the office there. I was offered to go to other location in ********** called loveridge dental for the extraction the following day. Saturday 12-17-22 I arrived at 11:30 am for my appointment yes it was busy and i did wait hours before they called me back to be seen. What really bothered me was what the D.D.S *********************** came in the room and asked me if Im taking any medication. I willingly told him that I was only taking my prescribed suboxone as well as the Tylenol, Motrin and antibiotics that Ive only been taking since yesterday, because of my tooth that just started hurting. I only put my medication on the form because I felt like my safety was more important then worrying about what the ****** Thought of me or my reasoning for why Im on the suboxone. The ****** ************************** came into the room and preceded to use the needle gun to numb my mouth for the oral surgical extraction. He didnt even try to use the topical gel to numb me at all. After the first painful poke he look at me and asked me What did you use? Needles? Nose? Sniff? . I said excuse me? No never just pain pills! I was shocked and felt really sick to my stomach. He continued to poke me with the numbing needle several times while I was holding my fist tight trying to bare through the pain. Hoping it would just be done. I felt like he did it in an umempathetic and judgmental way. Ive never felt so degraded as a person in the hands of a medical/dental professionals. He had no right to ask me such personal and unprofessional questions. That was really degrading and uncomfortable to me. The dental assistant should of numbed me because she wouldnt of treated me that way. It was definitely malpractice. After that I realized I didnt want him anywhere near my mouth. I walked out of the office.
