Last summer (2021) Contracted a 16x36 fiberglass pool for March 2022 completion. Paid 50% up front. It's now June and still no usable pool. Communication is almost non-existent once you make the second (90%) payment when they dig a hole and drop in the pool shell. Electric and gas hook up, concrete pool decking, volleyball and basketball nets, destruction of yard, no cleaning equipment etc., all at the mercy of Jay-Kem.. They may get to you on their own time, sometimes blaming weather and other times nothing. Just total silence after numerous texts and calls and emails. Weather was not an issue until you make the second payment. Legal action probably required to complete my $75k pool. Was supposed to be a two week job completed by end of March. I would never use them again. Unfortunately, in our small town, they have no competition. Would definitely recommend go to Evansville or Louisville for a pool contractor. This is the third pool I've had built with the other two being larger, complex concrete/plaster pools with retaining walls, waterfalls, built in hot tubs, diving boards, fountains, etc. this is a simple fiberglass drop in pool but has been exponentially more difficult than anything before. Also have built a 5000sqft house and 1300sqft detached garage/pool house since contracting with Jay-Kem. So,,,, have built our house and garage and still waiting on our two week pool install with no end in sight. Over two months late on a two week job.
