      ************************. In between jobs and waiting for payroll check to come through and they shut my power off while my brother is staying at my place to receive cancer treatments at *********** inconsiderate!! I was off of work for a month and they cant give me a benefit of doubt while Ive been a loyal customer to them. I am just trying to get my job secured and getting my first paychecks and this is how Im treated.

      0 stars... I have been trying to get a refund from *** since May of 2024. I have auto pay and my energy consumption has been less than years past and now have a balance of over 900 hundred dollars. I have called over 7 times for a refund each call takes at least a half hour and they assured me that it would be mailed out. I finally received a check for 130 dollars 2 month ago but that's it. I was able to get a customer representative to refer me to talk to supervisor one time but the results were the same... nothing. Currently seeking a customer complaint number or contact info.

      The home protection plan is a scam. Consumers beware. We had the platinum protection for over 4 ********** were paying $43/mo and never filed a claim. Our washer broke down and they sent someone but they were unable to repair it. They refused to give us any money to replace the appliance and claimed we had to add the green money cash back for $20 a month in addition to the $43 we were already paying. To top it off, they said they would pay us $150 if we added the cash green back program to our existing home appliance program but on the condition that we have to stay on it for a full 12 Months. This is a joke. I spoke to a supervisor named ****** and his response was yes he thinks his customers are being treated fairly. Worst company ever.

      *** is a terribly run company. I have lived in multiple states and dealt with energy companies in each and this one is by far the worst. The wait times to speak with customer service is excessive, multiple times I have been given incorrect information from customer service and had to spend more time in the following days fixing the issue. The power goes out frequently and the timing of restoration is far too long. There is no reason a company as big as *** should take so long with fixing power or giving updates. It's a shame they are a monopoly because I would choose any company over this one if given the option.

      The issue of losing power sometimes doesn't bother me. We do live in a state where we have a lot of questionable weather and unpredictability, especially dealing with all 4 seasons. Living here my whole life I just know to be prepared for certain things, and if I owned a house I would have a backup generator for such purposes. Their extreme price hikes while things are getting more costly all around are ridiculous though. This higher rate during peak times is also ridiculous. It's when a lot of people are getting home from work/school, which means they need to go to bed earlier and can't always wait until after 7 to do chores. Also for those who live in ***********, it's after 7 getting closer to dusk when it starts getting even hotter even if it is cooler outside. These peak hours also do not consider the disabled or elderly.Their new system of sending shut off notices for even a single missed **** is also ridiculous. They said it's if it goes over $100, which isn't hard to do with their repeated increase in rates. People are having their services disconnected faster than ever before.Meanwhile there have been news of how much the shareholders profit, using expensive private jets and timeshares all on the customers wallets.We need other options besides a for profit business!

      The worst most criminal company I have ever come accross! *** steals money like no other company does yet offers the worst energy service in the entire country. Every time a bit of rain or wind or snow hits ******** we lose power for days!!! Our area is one of the worst areas when it comes to power loss compared to other areas making it very clear we have a major issue with the electrical infrastructure in our area, yet *** wont take responsibility or do their job in trying to fix the source of the problem! My in laws never lose power, but we have lost power 3 times this year alone each time the power loss lasts several days or a week and each time I have to take time off work because I cant work (since I work from home), weve lost tons of food due to spoiling and people in my household have gotten sick because we rely on electricity to keep our medications cold. On top of that, we havent even been able to purchase a generator because there are no generators within 100 miles radius of our area due to DTEs incompetence and Inability to provide the service they claim to provide! This company is a fraud and should be held accountable for stealing money from customers and failing to meet industry standard services and quality! They continue to raise rates on a service they cannot even provide and be responsible for!

      Negative and filling a complaint against DTE They are liars who told me that my power would be restored weds. Power went out Tuesday. Wednesday I did not see one DTE person in sight trying to fix anything. Then i get text oh due to excessive damage be fixed thrusday. After no one bothered show up they lie pretend that damage too much. Yet never bothered to come so how would they know? Now Thursday second day and will be same BS they will come at 8 pm say they got go home drag it on some more. Second time no power within two months.

      Any wind over 15mph knocks out large swaths of **********, storms knock us out of power for days. Every. Time. And they still have the nerve to raise prices every year, when they're a $20 billion dollar monopoly that's made over $12.3b in profit this year alone.

      DTE should be ashamed of themselves. They hike our bills up, over $100 more than last year, but dont raise the quality of their service along with it. They say theyre doing all these things to fix it but they arentall of the poles are still about to fall, trees still hanging over the wires or the wires are just sitting in the tree, wires hanging down almost to the ground, you name it. We have one of the least reliable grids in the country, and whos at fault? Its not us, but were paying the price. Over $500 in groceries we just bought has gone bad because of them once again. People literally die because of this kind of irresponsible, inconsiderate neglect. This company needs to be investigated because I dont know what theyre doing with the money theyre stealing from us, all I know is they arent using it to improve their service. Theyre a scam company operating right under our noses and no one will do anything about it!

      Awesome service. We had an issue between the pole and the house. Had our electrician out to confirm it wasn't our stuff and then called DTE around 1:00 in the afternoon. They had a technician at the house at 3:30 and he strung a new line in no time. We've had zero issues since. I really appreciate the speed and quality of work done to get us back to full power.
