    I was in an auto accident on December 2nd. The insurance company unfortunately denied my claim forcing me to have to pay out of pocket for auto repairs. I had reached out to Hamilton Chevrolet and had my vehicle towed. On December 16th i received an estimate and price quote for parts and service. I informed them that I had left for my honeymoon and would be back on January 2, but that I was definitely doing the work as I secured a loan for the repairs. I was told sounds good at that point and that they would start ordering parts. When I came back on the 2nd I reached out to see where the bank needed to send the check and was informed that no parts were ordered yet. No problem at all. I dropped my check off on January 5th and was told it would be two weeks for the repairs and nothing else. At the two week **** i reached out on January 20 and was informed it would be another week. No problem I understand shipping issues with covid. I then asked on that phone call if the **** had increased and was told NO everything looks good, we got all the parts and are just putting finishing touches on the truck. We will reach out early next week for pick up. Another week goes by and i reach out via email on January 28th. I receive an email back from *** the manager with a new invoice stating my **** was almost **** dollars higher and it would be ready next week. I questioned the increase and was told that part prices increased in 2022. So 28 days into the month parts have now increased and I was not notified at all ahead of time. The work was started in 2022 and I was told on a previous conversation a week prior in 2022 that the **** had no increased and everything was good. Ironic that michigan law requires them to notify on anything over 10% and the increase was exactly 10%. They waited until a couple days before pickup to notify me of a price change i should have been notified of 3 weeks prior before work even started, and now sticking me with a **** to get my truck back.

    Definitely not the place, if youre looking to have repairs done., They are very untrustworthy. They lied about work needed on my vehicle. What Hamilton didnt know was Id taken my vehicle to another dealer prior to visiting, because of a previous inaccuracy. Lies and false information. The magnitude of work Hamilton came up with was ridiculous! You would think one of a major dealership would know better, but I guess not. Further more there are customer service representatives in repairs that are extremely rude and for the most part disrespectful. FYI: I definitely wouldnt have given a half of a start, but I had to because of submission terms.
