*********************** I didn't appreciate the absolute AWFUL treatment I experienced at VCA Alameda East Vet Facility. From the time I arrived with my baby to the time I left, the staff behavior was so unbelievable and ridiculous!! The setting was a horrible environment, super unprofessional, uncaring, inhumane, and met with desensitized ill-mannered staff. The presence of the police officer walking around didn't help as the employees were off to a bad start to begin with. This hospital runs a vet/pet mill to manipulate heart strings to pay them obscene amounts of money with no concern for the owner/parent or pet at all - whatsoever. They were more interested in money prior to diagnosing conditions and explaining how the doctors are Board Certified to treat. I hope so, if people are taking their pets to this hospital for care. I was met with adversity and they don't seem like people of color. ******** didn't care about me or my little one. They are too busy lining their pockets for profit! Through my emotions, pain, shaking and dropping crocodile tears in my baby's face while holding her, not once did 'any' staff ask if I needed help, tissue or anything else for that matter. They were more interested in shoving papers at me, dancing and spinning around in the lobby while laughing. One employee was euphoric in behavior, as if she was under the influence and constantly smiling. I practically had to beg them to do something for her!!! Once I finally met with a VET, she was drawing pictures on a white board asking me what I thought was wrong???!!!! I will take my concerns to a regulatory agency. This facility and staff **** and better treatment can be found elsewhere. If you want your pet to be mistreated, VCA won't disappoint. I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND TO ANYONE. if there were negative star reviews ******** earned every single last one of them. $7k - 9k for surgery when they knew she wouldn't have survived.

I wish I could give them a negative star.I've arrived with my dog that had eaten rat poison. According to their Triage, that would be a STAT condition. Presumably, we should have had priority. Nope. We had to wait over 4 hours to be seen. We were never shown to a room. *** whole time we were there we were in the waiting room with other dogs. As I am sitting there, I see only 2 rooms dedicated to emergencies: one of them is for ************ that is highly contagious. ***y never cleaned the rooms once a patient left.I had to ask over 4 times to be seen by the Dr. *** minute I stepped out to take my baby for a potty break the dr came to the waiting room. Because he didn't see me, he left immediately and called me on my phone. According to him, I should call him back to discuss my dog's condition. From the waiting room!!!! Really? You wanted me to call the clinic from the clinic's wanting room?Every time I had to go to the front desk to ask or remind them we need to be seen I had to stand in line for over 20 minutes! When the dr finally decided we were worthy of his time, he came to tell me that the treatment was going to cost $800+. He never addressed my concerns or my fears. It was all about the money. As it is with this clinic: EV**YTHING IS ABOUT THE MONEY! ***y don't care about the animals. *** staff at the front desk looks annoyed with the animals. Never a kind word.If I were not so overwhelmed and desperate and could have thought about other places opened at that time, I would have never gone there. I just went to Alameda East because I was ******* my dog - that had a very serious condition - to have immediate attention and the ** that was the closest was them. $1k for the lousiest, worse treatment ever!!!!!!!!I don't recommend them to anybody! My dog now has kennel cough, thank you ALAMEDA EAST :(

In this place ,they don't care about animals life. the vet was very unprofessional. she didn't even examine my kitten well she never told us what it was exactly what my kitten had. She did not even know what she was doing, she did not examine my kitten well, which only mattered to her money. Because she saw us Hispanics, she made insinuations that we had no money to pay for the treatment for the kitten, she told us that we should put her to sleep
