Different insurance companies set different contracted case rates with our company. A case rate is one flat rate no matter what is done in our office. If we are unsure of what your insurance benefits are, or unable to verify active insurance coverage, our policy is to put a credit card on file (authorized by the patient), so once insurance has processed the claim and determined what the patient responsibility is, we then send a message to the patient via email informing them to check their patient portal to see the message/invoice. Patients then have 5 days to reach out to us to discuss the bill or set up a payment plan. If we do not hear back from the patient in this timeframe, we charge the card on file for the amount owed.
Unfortunately, I do not see a patient in our system that matches the name or email address used to post this review. I would be happy to look further into this issue if more information is provided.
