same as ******. Carepoint R1 RCM in *************** is the offshore billing for Carepoint. Had incorrect insurance. I tried and gave them the correct insurance information numerous times. the claim was rejected by BCBSTX as it was now submitted overdue. this is a horrible company and business. i have gone directly to ******************* and Carepoint offices to get this resolved. Horrible company, sloppy and stupid.Same situation as this. I called again and learned they were not using the current insurance info I gave them and instead, called **************** and got old insurance info. (why would they do that?) and had been billing the wrong insurance company all this time. On that call, I gave them my current insurance information. Carepoint made the choice to collect old insurance information from a hospital versus using what I gave them the day I was there. Is this fair? Is this right? Should Carepoint be allowed to do this to us? Carepoint has ruin my credit because of their incompetence and now this ding on my credit report will follow me forever. Shouldn't they be punished instead of me?

Carepoint Emergency in *********, **. I watched the front desk make a photo copy of my insurance card and return my card to me. In the following months, Carepoint sent me bills telling me I owed them the full amount of over $800. When I called them to tell them "I will not pay on this **** until I know how much my insurance will cover", they told me my insurance had been billed. I continually received invoices asking for payment in full which lead to them telling me I would be sent to a debt collection agency if I did not pay the full amount. I called again and learned they were not using the current insurance info I gave them and instead, called **************** and got old insurance info. (why would they do that?) and had been billing the wrong insurance company all this time. On that call, I gave them my current insurance information. Then I got a **** from a debt collector telling me the amount owed is much larger now because interest had accrued. When I called the debt collector, they informed me that my current insurance had paid leaving me with a smaller amount to pay. At no point did I receive an invoice from Carepoint telling me my insurance had paid and I now owe a smaller amount, giving me the opportunity to pay the balance. The first I heard of this was from the debt collector. I now have a history with a *** collector because Carepoint made the choice to collect old insurance information from a hospital versus using what I gave them the day I was there. Is this fair? Is this right? Should Carepoint be allowed to do this to us? Carepoint has ruin my credit because of their incompetence and now this ding on my credit report will follow me forever. Shouldn't they be punished instead of me?
