I approved an estimate on 03/15/22 from Deck Doctors in the amount of $4,290.00 for work preformed on my front wood porch and on my back concrete patio. On April 4th they came to start the job. Day one they complete everything but the staining on the front deck. They also completed power washing the back patio concrete but not the stain and sealing. I was told they would not be back the next day due to high winds, which was fine because we need to be home when they completed the back porch due to the dogs. The front deck was finished on Wednesday or Thursday. After completion of the front deck I sent ****** a voicemail regarding the hardware/joints being visible and scheduling completion of the back porch. Saturday morning, ******************************* came over and immediately started justifying that the joints were visible for engineering reasons, which made zero since to me. I asked him to get a thin piece of wood and cover it, he agreed.When I brought up the back porch, he said he was going to give me a $75.00 credit on the job. I told him I was going to get it done, it just needed to be schedule. The conversation went south fast and I ended up walking in my house. That same day he sent me a email apologizing for cutting me off and offered another minimal credit. I did not respond to him.The following Tuesday, I mailed them a check for the completed work on the front and half on the back. When the check was in the mail, he emailed me on April 13th stating if he did not hear from me by the 15th, a lien would be put on my house.Since then, I noticed the railings on the steps were not put back on correctly.
