Check the engine light turned on in the Jeep. ****** told me to check the website of contracted shops that go through our warranty. Import Sports Performance was on this website. I contacted them on July 23, 2022. I asked them if they work on diesels and they responded yes. I took in the Jeep on July 28 at 4:30pm. On the 29th, they submitted pictures for the claim of the radio, glow plugs, rear-view cameras and leak on oil pan. CarMax informed Import Sports that the glow plugs are not covered. Import Sports asked if we wanted to proceed out-of-pocket at $900 to replace. I authorized it. 2 days later, they called saying the passenger side plugs had broken due to plugs being too tight. They said they had the correct tools and that the mechanic was confident he could take them out before having to replace the cylinder head. Import Sports said they would send a picture before starting. They failed to do so. They informed me, 4 days later, that they did not have the right tools and asked if we should proceed with cylinder head replacement. I authorized it. On the 11th, they called and said they don't want to proceed because they don't want to be held responsible for any further damages, to find another shop. I found another shop ,Auto Shop, and had the Jeep towed to it. ********* did an inspection to see the condition of the plugs. They said that the plugs were damaged and broken due to improper removal. Import Sports state that ********* should be held liable. But ********* only did an inspection. ********* presented me with options to fix the Jeep. I mentioned to Import Sports that they could help me pay for half of the repair due to the damage done by them when removing the plugs. But they said they are not responsible for the damages therefore they do not have to pay.
