On March 24,2014 I brought my car to Maaco Collision Repair & Auto Painting to have it painted, at the time I request to have my car painted, I mentioned to **** that there was nothing wrong with my car. I had just taken my car to the Honda Dealer several day before taking it to Maaco Collision Repair & Auto Painting. After picking up my car (April 3,2014) I drove straight home and parked, while driving home, I notice that the driving side mirror was about to fall off. However, I could not take it back the same night because Maaco closed at 5 p.m. The next day (Friday,April 4,2014) I went and told ****, that they had broken my mirror on the driver side and what would they do about it, **** said that he would replace the mirror, I said during our conversation,I wouldn't pay for a mirror that was broken at the shop, because I knew it happen at the shop. I then asked him how long would it be before, he would replace my mirror and ****, told me Monday or Tuesday of the following week. It wasn't until later on in the week that my mirror was replace, and I was told that it would be forty dollar, I told ****, I will not pay for a mirror I did not break. I told them that there were flosses in the paint job, that was done. I asked them to come and check it, they wouldn't check it. I ask them to call the police and they wouldn't. I then told them to take the mirror off and they wouldn't. so I took my car keys and left. While walking to my car one of staff members followed me as I was going to my car and threaten me, saying "we know where you live, don't try to leave Colorado", and then he said "I'm going to call the police". I medially went to Aurora police department(04/11/2014 and spoke with an officer ************ about my problem. On May 12th I received and letter from their lawyers ******* ****** ***** ******* ******* & ****** saying I have thirty days to pay.
I would like for them to repaint car to fix the flosses that was done and not be charge for a mirror I did not break(if not just remove the mirror) and repaint my car, I am willing to show the flosses to them. In the above statement I only take my car to the Honda Dealer for any repairs.

My response, I do not agree:
May 21, 2014
I do not accept the invoice statement, because it does not apply to the mirror that was broken at the shop. The invoices that are shown was when I paid for the paint job that they did and not the broken mirror.
The invoice for the broken mirror was their fault, it happen in their care. I did not sign any paper work stating, I would pay for the mirror (I hear on the video that ***** said he talk with me about the mirror. It wasn't ***** who, I spoke with over the phone, it was a Hispanic person who I really didn't understand very well). I was told that my mirror was ready to be put back on my car.
When I notice that my mirror was broken, I took it back the next day. I told ****, that my mirror was about to fall off and what was he going to do about it. While my car was park outside in the front of the building **** went to the driver side and start messing with it and said it just needed to be snap back on. He tried to snap it back on and it wouldn't snap back on. So he then ask me for my car keys and drove my car into the garage to fix the mirror and the next thing I saw was the mirror in **** hands and he said that the mirror was broken. **** took the mirror completely out of the frame case, I asked him what was he going to do about my mirror? The statement, I receive that he would have to order a new mirror or get one from the junk yard. I said I will not be paying for a mirror, I did not break. I asked him how long it would take to get a mirror, he said Monday or Tuesday the following week.
When I went to have the mirror put on. ***** drove my car into the shop after the mirror was put back on, **** drove my car back outside in the drive way in front of the garage and came to me and put the keys in my hand and said that I would have to pay forty dollars for the mirror again, I said I would not pay for something I didn't break. **** told me that I needed to talk with ***** and **** went and told ***** what I said about not paying for the mirror and this is what the video shows.
***** said that I needed to pay for the mirror and they were not charging me for the labor nor for painting the frame that the mirror sat inside of. I said again, I would not pay for something, I didn't break and ask them to come and check the paint floss on the car and neither did.
Then ***** wife came out of her office asking why did I bring my car to them and I said to have my car painted and not broken. She said that they would have to take the mirror off, I told them to take the mirror off and they didn't. I asked them to call the police, because by this time three against one, to me it was getting out of hand. Since they didn't call the police nor take the mirror, I walked out with my keys in my hand going toward my car and ***** threaten me saying "I know where you live and don't you leave Colorado" I walk to my car without saying anything back and drove to the Aurora Police Department immediately to speak with an Police Officer. I did speak with an officer because ***** had threaten me and I want to know my rights.

Thank you for contacting Maaco Collision Repair & Auto Painting.
Ms. *******'s response was forwarded to our internal legal department and the following is their reply:
"The evidence that we have in our possession does not support any of Ms. ******* *******'s claims. Based on this evidence, Ms. ******* ******* did not notify Maaco Collision Repair & Auto Painting about the broken mirror the following day after she picked up the car from the shop, but almost one week after that. Furthermore, Ms. ******* ******* has changed her story, yet for the third time by now.
Maaco Collision Repair & Auto Painting has been patient and amicable with Ms. ******* concerning this matter.
At this point, we offer the following two choices to Ms. ******* *******:

I am not satisfied! May 30, 2014
When I brought my car to have it painted, I told **** "There's nothing wrong with my car, I had taken it to the Honda Dealer several days early.
After picking my car up from Maaco and I drove it straight home and park it. I notice that my driver side mirror was shaking and the reason I could not return the same day, the shop closes at 5 pm. The next, day I told **** about it, and he asked me for my keys so he could check it out. At this time the mirror was still attached to the casein (the container that holds the mirror in place). ****, tried to snap the mirror back in place and it wouldn't snap back on. At this time, he asked me for my keys. ****, said that he was going to drive my car into the garage and see if he could fix it, in the garage. Now remind you, the mirror was still attached to the casein, shortly after he took my car to the garage, and **** came back in with the mirror in his hand and said that "the mirror was broken". I was shock that he took the mirror off without asking me about it first. I ask him! What are you going to do about my mirror? **** said that he would look around for a replacement. At this time I told him, I am not going to pay for something I didn't break and asked him how along, I would have to wait. **** told me, "around Monday or Tuesday the following week because they didn't work on the weekend. I called back to ask about my mirror and I was told to come in on Thursday or Friday to have my mirror placed back on because they had to paint the casein to match the color of the car, and it needed to dry. At that time there was not anything mention about paying for a mirror.
When ***** drove my car around to the garage to put the mirror on. I was waiting in the lounge, some time went by and I saw ****, who handed me my keys and said you need to pay for the mirror. Once again I said I would not pay for something (the mirror, which **** took off without asking me first) I did not break. At this time he told me "that I needed to tell that to *****" I said ok.
While speaking with ***** about me not paying for the broken mirror. ***** said "we are not charging you for labor, just for the mirror", once again I said, I am not paying for something I didn't break. By this time things started to heat up and ****** went into his wife office and she came out asking me why wasn't paying for the mirror, again I said, I am not going to pay for something I didn't break. Then she asked me why did I bring my car to their shop? My response was to get my car painted not to have something broken.
I then asked them to come and check the paint flosses on my car and they didn't. I was then told that they were going to take the mirror off, I said take it off, they didn't. By this time it was three to one. I asked them to call the police, they didn't. While all this confusion is going on, God reminded me that I had my keys and just leave. So I did, as I was walking back to my car, ***** said "we know where you live and that they were going to call the police and don't you try to leave Colorado".
I immediately, when to the Aurora Police Department, because I felt that my life had been threaten. I spoke with an officer and explain what had happen and I felt that ****** had threaten me.
