      I live in a town home community, so there's no choice, but Cheaspeake Utilities. They make it difficult to view the bill online and to pay it online, and they charge a fee to pay online, unless you agree to auto pay. Who would have a utility bill auto pay without being able to review it? So, they are literally the one check I have to write every month.

      Good morning, The customer requests assistance with viewing her bill online and making online payments. On October 7, upon receiving the inquiry, a Project Coordinator instructed the Customer Care Manager to review the account and contact the customer with a resolution. On October 23, the manager reported the following: On September 26, a representative assisted the customer with a billing question. On October 6, a representative explained to the customer when her next invoice would be issued. On October 23, a representative assisted the customer with logging into her online account and explained to her how to take the account off of autopay. The customer was satisfied with the resolution.       I just got a call from Chesapeake Utilities. They used to have a dropbox outside. to drop off a payment by check , which is what I always do , and now they are taking that away. I don’t understand why they’re taking this away.! furthermore, before they moved to this new location, you could go inside and make a payment they don’t even have any customer service anymore so you cannot go inside this new building. I don’t understand why they don’t seem to care about customers ! The only other way to pay is to mail it in or pay online. The last time I mailed a check to them It took two months for them to get it. It could’ve been the fault of the post office but still I don’t trust that. I don’t want to get online to pay because they charge a fee! every other company I deal with does not charge a fee to use a credit card. I don’t know why they are so backwards and they are not flexible at all. i feel they do not care

      Good afternoon, The customer reports dissatisfaction with the Company’s payment options. Upon receiving the inquiry, a representative observed that there was not enough information provided to retrieve the account or contact her directly, however, the following information summarizes the available payment options: As of September 2, all Company payment drop boxes will be permanently closed. The company offers several options to pay their bill including: EZ-BILLING, our online bill management platform, which allows customers to set up auto payments to be deducted from their checking or savings account, with no fee. EZ-PAY allows customers to submit their one-time payment, using their credit or debit card, online or by phone at 1-833-77EZPAY, for a small fee of $2.25 per $700.00 transaction. Authorized Payment Locations offer the convenience of paying their utility bill in person, with no fee. Pay by Mail – checks will credit to the account the same day they are received. To learn more about the company’s payment options, customers can visit chpkgas.com or call the customer care team at 1-800-427-2883. Thank you, Chesapeake Utilities Customer Service

      I pay the bill every month and don't even use gas. And now that the price is going crazy heating my how with electric heaters. Then they sent me a bill saying service is getting cut off. Over a hour wait everytime I try to contact them. Bills always wrong and never can talk to anybody about service. Very sad and upsetting.

      This is the worst company I have even done business with. I would give them 0 stars if I could. They consistently double bill, the website is rudimentary at best, and I have to re set my password each time I log in, and I asked for my overpayment back and it is going on 30 days with no check. If I had a choice to use another company I would run screaming. I cannot get through to customer service. Their hold times are consistently, on a daily basis, well over one hour. Also- they never answer email.
