We were four months into a build with Associate Construction, two months from moving in. Wallmaster's was sub contracted to poured the foundation, WE found the bulge in the wall, no one contacted us. We were told an "idiot" left the form pins out and we had a bulge in the foundation/basement wall, the wrong shower, wrong/damaged bathtub, wrong color roof and many other issues that Mr. Morris had no concern, wasn't going to address/fix the issues, insulted us telling us we weren't engineers, was very disrespectful and put our deposit in his mailbox and told us to come get it!! He listed the house a couple days later for $40,000 more than our contract which tells us he was wanted to get rid of us and make more money. We knew we had a home to move into in a couple of months, we stopped looking for an existing home which now has made us homeless. With this home market being short in inventory, we probably missed out on many homes over these many months that we could of purchased, this has put a huge stress/strain on our lives, we are retired and old, should not have trusted Associate Construction, we really thought they were a stand up company but we were so misled and wrong.

Whoever is reading this review, please understand that this is a disgruntled customer because we cancelled their contract and gave them their deposit back. Our company is very reputable and we have learned that since we have given the H*******'s their money back that they have made it a point to get on any and every social network to defame our name. We have been building homes for 40+ years and there was a cosmetic bulge in the foundation that has been corrected. The wrong shower they are speaking of was due to the shower they ordered was not going to be delivered in time as needed for the house to continue on schedule so we ordered them a nicer shower that had a seat in it. As far as wrong roof color....wrong again, he was looking at the package the caps came in and not the shingles. The shingles on site were the shingles they ordered. As for as the house being on the market for $40K more....absolutely it is. We had (4) lumber increases since we went into contract with the H*******'s and we never passed one increase to them. They were getting an amazing home for the price and she is right she will not find a house this nice for the money in this market. We have every right to put our house on the market for what it is truly worth. They want to blame Associate for their actions that caused the contract to be cancelled and that is just a shame. We 100% stand by our decision to cancel this contract and the huge stress/strain was not caused by Associate but the H*******'s themselves. They stood in their own way to owning their dream home.

What a shame Associate Construction, tell the whole truth, you know the truth, WE cancelled the contract. The bulge is still in the wall and who knows what the integrity of the wall will be in years to come. All we asked was communication and not try to hide the issues. Yes we are disgruntled, we are homeless, we were just suppose to shut our mouths and take what you gave us. Forty years in the business doesn't give you the right away to treat your clients as if they are idiots, as you did to us.
